Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is woody resin citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth big citrus fruit caramel woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A super ale with lots of flavour. Perfect for a session. I wouldn’t normally rate a bitter this highly but this beer deserves it.

Bittersweet citrus to the taste profile on a backbone of pale malts. Rounded fruit bitterness to the ending. Medium to thin bodied. Fair enough (25.09.2014).
