Description
The Hecks family have been making traditional farmhouse cider in Somerset for six generations, since 1841.

In 1896, we started to sell our cider from our farm shop in Street.

We make our cider by blending juice from apples all grown locally in the farm’s orchards. The cider is fermented in wooden barrels and sold draught from the wood.

Bottle split at CBC Holborn, thanks to Daniel, 29/08/18. Clear golden blonde with a decent enough egg shell white covering that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is eggy, sulphuric, the cider equivalent of Burton Snatch ... Taunton Minge? Taste improves with bitter apples, straw, light funk, grass. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so ... the minge really let's this one down !
