Description
The Hecks family have been making traditional farmhouse cider in Somerset for six generations, since 1841.
In 1896, we started to sell our cider from our farm shop in Street.
We make our cider by blending juice from apples all grown locally in the farm’s orchards. The cider is fermented in wooden barrels and sold draught from the wood.

(Draft at London Cider House, Borough Market, London, 17 July 2026) Golden colour with no head. Fruity nose with notes of pears, apples, yeast and hints of funk and vinegar. Fruity, slightly tart taste with pears, yellow apples, citrus, a mild barnyard character and a balanced acidity in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Refreshing, with a good acidity. Nice one.

On tap at Cider House Borough Market. Clear gold colour thin white head. A little almost diacetyl bitter flavour which is odd. But the toffee actually works with the apple. Decent flesh apple flavour some dryness on the finish. Yes mostly good apple flesh flavour. Medium dryness. Very drinkable.

Clear 500ml bottle from the source, drank on 18th July 2025 while down in Worthing (Air B&B). Not as exciting as the name might suggest, bog standard Cider all round really. Clean and clear, no head, tasted of apples!
