Description
The Hecks family have been making traditional farmhouse cider in Somerset for six generations, since 1841.
In 1896, we started to sell our cider from our farm shop in Street.
We make our cider by blending juice from apples all grown locally in the farm’s orchards. The cider is fermented in wooden barrels and sold draught from the wood.

On tap at Cider House Borough Market. Clear gold colour thin white head. A little almost diacetyl bitter flavour which is odd. But the toffee actually works with the apple. Decent flesh apple flavour some dryness on the finish. Yes mostly good apple flesh flavour. Medium dryness. Very drinkable.

Clear 500ml bottle from the source, drank on 18th July 2025 while down in Worthing (Air B&B). Not as exciting as the name might suggest, bog standard Cider all round really. Clean and clear, no head, tasted of apples!

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers GB! Aroma of red apple, pear and apple juice. Light carbonation that finishes a little dry with the full apple flavour coming through. Very enjoyable.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers GB! Aroma of granny smith apples, a bit of funk and floral notes. Taste is sour acidic apple that is very dry but becomes less sharp the more you drink. Minimal carbonation. Liked it.
