[12/10] Tap. Bright clear copper with an off white head that’s angry with a swirl. Slightly creamy mouthfeel Aroma has stone (nectarine), tropical (pineapple, passionfruit) fruits and citrus with some caramel. Some toffeeapple in the taste along with the hop aromatics. Plenty of bitterness. Feral, indeed. And pretty shouty. Not really my sort of thing, but it gets away with it pretty well with huge flavours that just avoid being harsh and some semblance of balance. [3.6] Ha, that long ago. Bottle, a MoonDogEsq label. Toffee and stewed fruit underneath stone and tropical fruit. Bitterness struggles up enough to really register but not so much as to seem harsh. Still - Red IPA - not at all my sort of thing but well enough done to be likeable. [3.5] but let’s leave as is.

Pours orange/amber with a small head.Nose shows loads of citrus fruits: tangerine and kumquat at the forefront. Also shows some lychee and apple. Very summery. Underneath is a fair helping of clean sweet malt.Flavours are quite different, with very little fruit. Instead the hops contribute piney resin. Once again there’s a lot of sweet malt underneath. The bitterness is quite sharp, not all that pleasant.Carbonation is a little high.

Bottle. Light amber with a cm of off-white head. Aroma - sharp pine and grapefruit with nectarines, passionfruit and caramel. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Quite sweet before decent bitterness. A lot of light caramel with nectarines and sweet pears. Bitter finish doesn’t last long and doesn’t quite clean up the sweetness. Doesn’t quite live up to the smell. [3.5][/9/11] New (to me) green label, smells very fresh. Lovely clean lively aroma is very fruity with stone fruits, tropical notes, grapefruit and pine. Sweet, with ripe nectarines and lots of caramel. Bitterness doesn’t quite clean up. Not quite dry finish with lingering pine and citrus. [3.5] Liking this more for what it is rather than what it isn’t: easy going, clean, lovely hop aromatics.

From a 330ml bottle on 30/6/2010. The aroma is like lemonade, citrus, bubblegum and banana. The taste is quite disappointing, with a sweet, weak lemon flavour prevalent, with not a lot else. Not one I’d recommend.

Tap. Hazy gold, dense white head. Spicy and tart, touches of yeast and sourness. Comes across as a straightforward albeit very spicy fine summer thirst quencher, reveals complexity as it warms a little. Brusque and good.

@Local Taphouse,Sydeny. Best Oz beer out there IMO. I can’t believe what this delivered for 5.8%. Light amber color. Caramel and piney nose with just a touch of citirus. Very piney, resiny mouth, but sufficient caramel malt backbone to provide decent body. Moderate bitter finish. Not an overthetop WC IPA, but extremely well balanced IPA. Good depth. Get this beer if you can

Bottle. Cloudy orange with an adequate white head that is smaller and less pillowy than Hoegaarden. Aroma is of orange, wheat and coriander seeds. If I had some I be tempted to sprinkle some on top, too. There’s a nice balance of flavours here - the citrus is prominent without being overwhelming and the bready characteristic is there but stays light. A nice beer true to the style, but as usual for me with wits, I was getting tired of it towards the bottom of the glass.
