Description
Moonshine Brewery has been established for over 20 years in the Cambridge area. In that time we have won numerous national and regional awards. Our beers are characterised by their clean, fresh taste which is thanks in no small part to the natural spring water that is used to make them.

Officially started brewing as Cambridge Moonshine Brewery in May 2004 using a 2½BBL self-built plant in the owners garage in Cambridge. The brewery moved to the current location during Summer 2008 at the same time upgrading to a 5BBL plant and changing its name to Moonshine Brewery.

Cask at GBBF ’14. Dark, dark brown, khaki head. Lovely. The aroma is surprisingly slight. Coffee seems to dominate over any chocolate/citrus aromas which are present but don’t really assert themselves. Taste us a little bit better. Bittersweet chocolate competes with a fruity bitter/sour. Thinner palette than I expected. Right amount of natural carbonation. Very short finish. Good overall but I was expecting more considering the description and the ABV. There just needs to be a bit more of everything.
