Established in 2018
Bret, our president and head brewer, fell in love with beer and the craft of brewing at the appropriate age of 21. After graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in economics, he pursued a sensible job in the finance world. It didn’t take long for him to realize that being at a desk was not for him and he wanted to become a professional brewer. That passion led him and his family to California where he went back to school to earn a Professional Brewing Certificate at University of San Diego. He swore he would never go back to school, but beer will make you do some crazy things. From there, Bret worked as a professional brewer for several years before taking the leap to open his own brewery in Spokane.
Lumberbeard Brewing was founded in 2018 and we are so excited to have you along for this crazy journey. We are committed to making excellent beers and desire to create a community where everyone feels welcome, cared for, and can find a beer they love!

On tap at BitterCreek. Mostly clear lemon yellow pour with a thin soapy head and lacing. Big fruity citrus aroma. More floral and grassy in the flavors. Bright fresh hop character well attenuated and modest bitterness.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of raisin, sherry, wood, vanilla, whiskey. Pours hazy orange-golden with a one finger bone-white head that falls into a ring quickly. Taste is sweet with a lightly bitter edge, finishing dry. Beautiful whiskey barrel aged flavors. Really tasty and well done.

Can from Smokes n Suds. Pale golden color with a fluff of lingering white head. Nose is floral and piney, light citrus. Quite a lot of bitterness up front and lingering in the finish. Piney, earthy, and floral. A very light sweetness intertwined with the bitters.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of toffee, bourbon, coconut, oak, vanilla. Pours murky orange with a one finger bone-white head that falls into a ring fairly quickly. Taste is moderately to highly sweet, finishing dry, with flavors like the aroma. A little boozy, but not overly so. Good.
