Small white lasting head. Yellow body with lots of carbonation. Faint acidic rubbery aroma. Sweetish apple, chalk, and earth taste. Mouthfeel is bitter chalk and kind of coarse. (Hmmmm. Does the 70% on the label refer to malt content?) Dryish empty corn aftertaste. Thin. Well, I hope this was cheap. (0.35l can.)

Medium offwhite shiny coarse head quickly disappears. Deep orange body. Sweetish fruity hop and honey aroma. Sweetish fruity hop taste with a metallic, grassy tinge. Dry, softly metallic grassy aftertaste. Clean, harmonic, and well balanced. A bit denser than most industrial pale lagers. Quite good, but I doubt this is an ale. (0.3l bottle.)

Medium beige coarse head disappears very quickly. Dark translucent bloack body. Sweetish licorice and chocolate aroma, very faint. Dry watery licorice taste, not too well balanced. Interesting, but not very good. (0.3l can. This, btw, is "happoshu", low-malt beer.)

Small shiny white head. Yellow body. Clean grassy hop aroma. Taste is light, clean grassy hops with a nice, dry edge to it. Dryish oily grassy aftertaste. Very nice for industrial pale lager. (0.3l bottle.)

very pale yellow coloured ale, with a light laggey hop, mellow and juicy, a good lager.

12 oz brown bottle. Pop the lid and you get an ever so slight yeasty beer aroma with a little skunk cabbage mixed in. When I saw AB on the side I immediately thought of the many other pale yellow lagers they brew. I was hoping for Japan when I selected this but now I see it may have been made in LA. Ubiquitous pale yellow lager color, with streams of bubbles constantly rising within. Small thin white foam on top. Taste is a little different, it’s own personality. Not real offensive on the buds but it does possess a low bitterness. Just enough bitter duende to keep your attention. Finish is rather well behaved but has a tinge of medicinal quality in a linger that lasts for a few moments. Over all not bad, however, there are many other domestic beers that meet or exceed the tasteful qualities of this beer. One much better lager that comes to mind is Schmidt’s. Does not taste much like bud or other AB lagers.

(Can 35 cl) Clear, pilsener golden with a dense, white head leaving laces. Aroma of hops. Medium-bodied with a good, lightly sweet malt base. Solid, dry hopping. The German name is quite accurate for this. Courtesy of faroeviking. 150207
