Bottled (5%). Golden colour, small white head. Malts in aroma, along with weak hints of maize. Strong maizeish and malty flavour, with a bit metallic hints. Not for drinking separately, but I think with food, especially spiced, it would be ok to drink.

Bottle. Okay beer. Not the best, but better than the average beer. White head, yellow color, slightly weak aroma, "typical" beer flavor.

Draught. Gold colour with thin white head. Some dead pale malt aroma, some odd citrus fruit. Can I taste rice and maize? Certainly some adjuncts in this. Then a sickly prickly finish. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. Too gassy and flavours are indistinct

Bottle. 5.0 % version called a premium lager - apparently the same as this one. Pale yellow. No head - it could have been a soda. High carbonation. Thirst quencher - but not one to drink and enjoy. Very watery.

(Bottle 33 cl) British version by Charles Wells in Bedford. Comes as "Kirin Beer" at 5% ABV. Very pale golden with a tall, handsome head. Lovely hoppy, floral aroma. Light and a bit watery with only a wee touch of hops in the finish. But quenching all right. 230601

(Bottle 33 cl) British version brewed by Charles Wells in Bedford. 5,5% ABV in my version called "Kirin Ichiban Kirin’s Prime Brew". Fully golden with a creamy head. Soft, lightly sweet with both corn and rice added. Not much aroma. Or body. Or flavour. Or bitterness. But yes, it does quench your thirst. 260201
