Description
In 2016, the oldest running brewery in the Central Valley met its new owners… Arthur Moye was a CPA with a passion for homebrewing before making a giant leap and selling his practice to acquire Full Circle Brewing Co. The rebirth of FCB was backed by a group of investors, all members of the community, many of whom banded together financially because they so strongly believed in our vision. The change of ownership resulted in rapid growth and rebirth for the brewery and allowed us to expand from a 7.5BBL brewhouse only producing draft beer to a 15BBL brewhouse producing a majority of packaged beer able to reach the consumer market throughout California.
Today, Full Circle Brewing Co. remains dedicated to the quality and flavor of our beers and you can taste the passion, commitment, and experience in every glass and can. We are not only breathing new life into this old brewery, but we are committed to reviving downtown Fresno and our own historic Chinatown. We love beer, we love live entertainment, we love Fresno, and we love this brewery!

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy gold with a huge foamy white head. Aroma is pineapple and other things. Med body. Juicy, but not sweet. Not quite dry either. Flavor is light pineapple, light citrus/pine, melon and other stuff with pale malt in support. Actually develops a bit of hop burn. Tho only moderately bitter. Tasty stuff.

Very hazy, straw coloured golden and bright yellow coloured body with a very large, super soapy off-white head that starts at about 6 to 7 centimetres tall that fades slowly and leaves a very ugly lace on the sides, all the way up. Aroma of very strong mangoes, oranges, bright hops with a bunch of alpha acids and seemingly a pretty strong wheat/malt backbone, with alcohol in the nose, too. Full-bodied; Very enjoyable rich malt and oaty pungency supports the back, at first with a lot of oranges, mangoes and even some light tropical notes showing at first with a light sweetness noticeable, too, along with a slight hop bitterness from the alpha acids, but robust and balanced throughout. Aftertaste shows the mangoes front and centre, as expected, with a lot of malts, some alcohol here, a good kick of sweetness, but balanced throughout - showing the Imperial Status from the malts and rich mangoes. Overall, a very nice fruity IPA that hits all the right notes, is quite potent, bud doesn't seem like 9,5 per cent, but the format is TOO big of course. I also sampled this with Chili Powder (as the can suggests) and while it provided something 'different', it wasn't necessary, as the beer already was quite nice! Good to sample after the other beers from this brewery weren't so good, this gives me more faith in the brewery the next time I'm out West. I sampled this 19,2 ounce can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fairfield, California on 28-August-2022 for US$4,49, canned on 07-August-2022 and sampled at my house back on the East Coast in Washington on 26-September-2022.

Very hazy and opaque deep orange and light copper coloured body with a fairly rich, off-white head at around two centimetres tall that leaves a thin lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of oranges, grapefruit, resin, caster sugar, some noticeable alpha acid bitterness and some alcohol, too. Medium to Full-bodied; Very rich and astringent metallic and bitter flavours show at first with a pungent hop bite and a lot of dank notes coupled with some strong grapefruit and orangey components with the alcohol quite noticeable at the end. Aftertaste is rich and very bitter, like an older school West Coast IPA, but with a bit more of a metallic and alcohol punch that doesn't fade fast. Strong and rich with a fairly simple and straight-forward profile. Overall, a nice enough older school (read: bitter) Imperial IPA that shows Imperial Status through the pungent bitterness and warmth of the alcohol, with some stone fruit flavours still and a light sweetness at the end, but definitely not the majority of the taste here. Nice to sample and reminds me of the days of old IPAs that really were bitter! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in San Francisco (North Beach), California on 08-March-2022 for US$15,00 (for a mixed four pack) [US$3,75 each] canned on 17-June-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington (on the other coast) on 23-May-2022.

16 oz can poured. Dense juicy orange haze, thick foam head. Smooth tropical fruit throughout, citrus follow. Very creamy body to this. Hoppy flavor with almost no bitterness. Smooth double. Juice bomb. Pretty good all around.

Pretty hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thinnish off-white head that stays afloat nicely for a few minutes before fading to a thinnish off-white head. Aroma of light mangoes and papaya mixed with a bunch of oranges and some wheat here as well - quite strong in the nose, especially with the fruits that all seem real here. Medium-bodied; Relatively rich and fruity orangey and creamy papaya and mango notes show at first with a good balance from wheat here with a lot of vanilla and lactose here, with a slight bitterness from the malts and even a touch of hops are noticeable here, but this really is about the fruit and significant sugars. Aftertaste is easy-going with the wheatie and oaty malts coming through and the fruits providing the strong sugars, especially towards the end with little complexity here. Overall, a pretty nice and easy-going, super fruity and creamy beer with the good flavours of oranges, papaya and especially mangoes all coming out properly here. Nice to sample, especially in the Winter season after bringing this back a while ago to home. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in North Beach (San Francisco), California on 08-March-2022 for US$3,75 ($15/four pack) sampled on the streets of New York, New York on 14-January-2023 with my wife and kids.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours hazy orange with a large, creamy white head. Med body or so. First comes something suggesting carbs, quickly followed by blood orange with lemon/lime aspects. It's wheaty, but the citrus stands up to that. Dryish. Moderately bitter.

Pint can from Granzellas. Pours a flat golden-orange color with a big fluff of white head. Nose is pure guava, musty and sweet, but somewhat muted. Tastes a little sweet before finishing with an odd astringent bitterness.
