Description
In 2016, the oldest running brewery in the Central Valley met its new owners… Arthur Moye was a CPA with a passion for homebrewing before making a giant leap and selling his practice to acquire Full Circle Brewing Co. The rebirth of FCB was backed by a group of investors, all members of the community, many of whom banded together financially because they so strongly believed in our vision. The change of ownership resulted in rapid growth and rebirth for the brewery and allowed us to expand from a 7.5BBL brewhouse only producing draft beer to a 15BBL brewhouse producing a majority of packaged beer able to reach the consumer market throughout California.

Today, Full Circle Brewing Co. remains dedicated to the quality and flavor of our beers and you can taste the passion, commitment, and experience in every glass and can. We are not only breathing new life into this old brewery, but we are committed to reviving downtown Fresno and our own historic Chinatown. We love beer, we love live entertainment, we love Fresno, and we love this brewery!

Very hazy deep copper and orange coloured body with a thick, four centimetre tall just off-white head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of skunky and very funky oats and grainy malts with some hops here, too, of course, but more of a perfumey, nutty and rustic/earthy scent - odd, and nothing juicy in here at all, at least in the nose. Medium-bodied; Very funky malts continue in the taste with a lot of oats and nutty qualities somehow with a grainy finish and only a touch of hops here, with nothing very bitter and definitely nothing 'juicy', even in the slightest. Aftertaste is pretty straight-forward as well with a nutty, earthy and rustic bite with oats, graininess and some softer biscuity notes, but this really is all about the malts and not really showing any/much hops here at all. Overall, this is a pretty substandard beer without any juicy notes at all, no fruits, no sugars and nothing enticing, especially with the malt bill as strong as it is, there isn't anything that provides balance - this isn't really an IPA in the slightest, but a deeper, maltier beer with a tiny bit of hops. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fairfield, California on 28-August-2022 for US$3,75 sampled in my hotel room here in San Francisco, California just a few hours later on 28-August-2022.

Pint can from Granzellas. A glowing orange pour with a large sandy head. Ripe tropical fruit and citrus aroma with some pineapple sweetness. The hop profile is more earthy and floral than expected; minimal tropical fruits and seemingly a stretch to pick up any pineapple in the flavor. Maybe it’s hidden behind the citrus? Made for a good beer poolside in Woodland, CA on our road trip.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - hazy yellow with a big foamy white snow white head. Nose - creamy custard, tinned pear and peach. Taste - sweet vanilla custard with some pear skin and bitter orange zest. Palate - light bodied, creamy sweet middle and a bitter, zesty finish. Overall - ok.

Can, Brewdog version at 6.8%. It pours cloudy yellow - gold with a bubbly white head. The aroma is sweet and fragrant, definitely has vanilla ice cream about it, creaminess, cake frosting, iced gems, touch of grain, damp grass, herbal accents and whets crackers. The taste is pretty smooth and sweet initially, then your gets some pleasant bitterness to balance it out, rich and creamy, vanilla ice cream, marshmallow, cake frosting, touch of orangey stone fruit, Fanta ice cream float, soma grass/herbal notes and a kick of booze with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, supportive carbonation. I am not a fan of this style at all, saying that this one has a nice hit of bitterness and vibrancy to carry the sweet vanilla milkshake character. Passable.
