Description
In 2016, the oldest running brewery in the Central Valley met its new owners… Arthur Moye was a CPA with a passion for homebrewing before making a giant leap and selling his practice to acquire Full Circle Brewing Co. The rebirth of FCB was backed by a group of investors, all members of the community, many of whom banded together financially because they so strongly believed in our vision. The change of ownership resulted in rapid growth and rebirth for the brewery and allowed us to expand from a 7.5BBL brewhouse only producing draft beer to a 15BBL brewhouse producing a majority of packaged beer able to reach the consumer market throughout California.

Today, Full Circle Brewing Co. remains dedicated to the quality and flavor of our beers and you can taste the passion, commitment, and experience in every glass and can. We are not only breathing new life into this old brewery, but we are committed to reviving downtown Fresno and our own historic Chinatown. We love beer, we love live entertainment, we love Fresno, and we love this brewery!

Fairly hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with a large, five to six centimetre tall deep tan head that lasts a long time. Aroma of lactose, tons of guava, mangoes, pineapple, tart berries, cream, very deep malts with melon and papaya seemingly adding to the body, and yes, a hint of passionfruit in the nose. Medium to Full-bodied-ish; Strong citrus and fruit flavours dominate here, with a lot of lactose, cream and rich malt body coming through, along with a slight sweetness and even a tart fruit note as well, but there is a great balance of malt and hops here for sure. Aftertaste is rich from malts and from flavours with the papaya, mango and melon notes the strongest, along with a bigger bite of sweetness and some hop bitterness coming at the very end. Overall, a nicely done, lactosey IPA with tons of fruit notes - most of them tropical, but the balance is struck right and finishes nicely! Good to sample very fresh, from the West Coast, bought in Pennsylvania, but sampled here in Washington! A reminder of Hawai`i for me, a place I haven't been in more than a year now! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Gettysburg Beer Mart in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on 12-May-2021 for US$5,99, canned on 08-April-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 17-July-2021.

Exploded Can upon moving locations! Crazy odd pink and muddied, cloudy coloured body with no head at all, despite the can popping, the carbonation must have been lost shortly thereafter. Aroma of bread, lactobilly notes, some vanilla and cream, strawberries and a large funkiness that doesn't smell too pleasant. Medium-bodied; Funky strawberry flavours dominate up front with some bread and yeast notes with a light dash of flowers and some dryness near the end along with an odd citrus fruit and grass finish. Aftertaste shows some grass and herbal aspects with a definite breadyness and yeast flavour with some soft icing sugar and lactose funk towards the end, but the strawberries and dryness show through at the end and bring out a bit of a rustic finish, but still goes down pretty easily. Overall, a very funky, strawberry and dry, grassy beer with a lot of breadiness and yeast qualities that has a little bit of sweetness, but the flavours and complexity doesn't come together nicely to make this a consistent package - plus the can popped the top and exploded on me - after just two months after purchase! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in San Francisco (North Beach), California on 08-March-2022 for US$3,75 ($15/four pack) sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-May-2022.

Can from Grocery Outlet in Vacaville, CA. Pours translucent orangey gold with a large creamy white head. Aroma of raspberry, lactose and citrus. Med body. Flavor pretty much matches the aroma - barely sour/lightly sweet. Might be some passion fruit or pineapple. That tongue prickle thing. Slight acidity. Nice flavor.
