Huge thanks Brian and Renato at the Curry Bowl, again, drunk with some lovely kothu! Golden body, tiny white head. Sweetish aroma. Sweetish malty taste, with that classic "tropical lager" touch I cannot place, ending dry and lightly herbal. Clean and just slightly sweetish again in the finish. Typical lager of its ilk, only better executed than most.

Bottle from Curry Bowl, Zagreb, with some superb kothu - enormous thanks Brian and Renato! Blackish body, scant, almost no tan head. Coffee drowned in a ton of caramel, sweetish aroma. Taste... sweet malty taste, the coffee coming quite a bit behind, serving as a mild attempt at a counterpoint, but I do wish they amped it up. It's a nice sweet beer, going well with spicy local food in a way, but taken out of context, which it was probably made for, isn't the "coffee stout" we are used to. It's fantastic (and an honor) to be he first to try and rate it!

Bottle (Leo's - ha!). bb 8/18. Gold with a collapsing white head. Aroma is fairly fumy with plums beginning to sweat in the fruitbowl, grain, boiled lemons. Getting towards syrupy, moderate carbonation. There is a little raw edge to the alcohol but it's not much for this sort of thing. Sweet with a nagging harsh bitterness struggling to keep it in check. Rogue fruity notes - plums and grapes. About par for what it is.

Pours dark brown from the bottle. The tan head soon fades. Aroma is a mix of plum, dark chocolate, and roasted notes. Taste is bittersweet with sour plum undertones. Body is medium to full, touch oily. Good.
