Tastes like grain alcohol was mixed with apple juice. Very sweet, like a wine cooler but not like traditional ciders. The label details call it a beer and lists hops as an ingredient but the beer does not have hops flavor or aroma.

Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Has a roasted coffee, slightly sweet and alcohol aroma and a little malt sweet and coffee flavor. Heavy drinking with a long coffee aftertaste.

Pours a medium yellow color with a small white foam that disappears quickly. Kind of a European taste with a little different/funky flavor than most. Not overly sweet or bitter.

Fairly foul like chicken. And like a forty they only sell these things in large bottles. Had a bottle of this in a Colonial looking bar in Kandy.

Schöner Cappuccino-Schaum, in der Nase malzig, röstig. Im Trunk angenehm schokoladig, bittersüß, hinten kommt die Röstung durch, nicht zu schwer, 1 A.

Pours from 625ml bottle(room temp) a pitch black with a pretty large head of foam that shrinks slowly and then completely dissipates. There's some lacing present with each new pour but that too disappears after sitting in the glass for a while.
The smell is of roasted malt but it's pretty light. Not much going on for me as far as the nose goes.
The taste has coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and...right near the finish, a hot cocoa flavour but they are all on the light side and make for a very smooth brew overall; I can't believe it's 8%abv, it's *that* smooth and easy drinking but I know better than to think that the alcohol won't catch up to me so I'm only taking small sips.
Further sips and and nothing really changes. I note that the body on this one is on the thin side though the taste never does lean towards the watery side. It's good. I'm glad I got to try it but...it's not something I'd seek out again.
