Aroma - soft caramel malts, soft citrus, slight fruits, mellow quite pleasant nose
Taste of fruity caramel malts, soft toffee malts, dab of bitter orange, some spicy hops
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bit oily.
Overall - Decent tradtional ale, quite tasty, old fashioned stuff

Aroma of lemon, crisp, fresh, good citrus nose, soft floral
Taste - Lots of citrus zest, bitter zest, some spicy notes, light pale malts, touch floral, nice citrus in here
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bitter palate offset by fairly sweet oale malts. Finish a bit dry, bitter dry zesty hop finish
Overall - Decent beer, fairly good drinakability

Cask at the Wellington; dark mahogany red pour with a bubbly tan head, light coffee and fruit aroma, taste has instant coffee dark fruits, roast malts, light bitterness.

Bottle. A lightly unclear dark golden beer topped by a small, white head. The aroma is lightly oxidzed, with caramel, some dried fruits and peaches. It’s medium to full-bodied with a soft carbonation. Caramel, oxidation, dried fruits and some herbal bitterness. Some generic fruityness too, lasting for a while. Pretty nice this one, but nothing extraordinary going on. 140815

Cask @ Pen-y-Bryn, Colwyn Bay. Copper with a thin head. Has a light malty aroma and taste - palatable and certainly a session ale. There’s also a small sweetness running throughout its character.

Cask at the Waggon & Horses, Halesowen. Pours black with a medium head. Aroma is dry and roasty, cocoa and piney hops. Taste is piney hops with a bitter finish and cocoa on the aftertaste.

On tap at The Wellington, pours a clear pale golden with a small beige head. Nose is light and subtle, with English hops and light crackery malt. Flavour is very hop-forward, with English hops and crackery malt in the back. Well-balanced and with more character than the average English session ale. Very solid stuff.
