Bottle at TimE’s. About a year old. Glowing copper with lace. Malty nose, with caramel, grassy English hops, chocolate, fruity. Nice bitterness, tangy flavor, very fruity, some of it tropical, with pepper. Nice but past its prime.

Bottle from a generous trader. Pours clear amber with white head. Nose and taste of bready malt, sweet malt, caramel, toffee, flowers and hint of lemon zest. Finishes slightly bitter. Medium body. Solid beer.

Refrigerated 8% bottle from pushkinwow through trade poured into trappist glass. Pours dark brown, with crimson highlights on the bottom with one and a half finger off-white head that dies down. Some small bubble lacing, medium body, and dark fruit aroma. Taste is caramel malt, fruit (fig and date), some molasses, and hint of hops in the finish. On the borderline between a dubbel and a strong belgian ale. This is good

Refrigerate bottle complements of pushkinwow poured into a weizen glass. Pours bright hazy yellow with fairly big head that dies down some, medium body, and highly carbonated. Taste is wheat, spicy yeast, and coriander. This is great.

Bottle shared with Yanick. Pours slightly hazy gold. White head. Nose of champagne yeast, light fruits, orange peel and lemon zest. Taste of same with some alcohol lingering in the finish. Medium body.

Dégustée en fût au Vices & Versa à Montréal. De couleur ambrée et claire. Nez de houblon résineux, légèrement herbeux (notes de menthe) aux notes citriques, malté de caramel sucré, légèrement fruité (agrumes, notes d’abricots) avec des notes d’alcool et de toffee. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture sirupeuse et aux notes crémeuses. Goût de levures fruitées (agrumes, léger de pêches et d’abricots, petites traces de mangues) accompagné d’une moyenne amertume de houblon moyennement résineux, légèrement citrique et aux petites notes herbeuses (menthe poivrée, une amertume qui se développe à mesure que la gorgée progresse) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût malté de caramel sucré avec des traces de sucre bonbon et des notes de pain. Parallèlement, un léger goût d’alcool se pointe progressivement jusqu’en finale ainsi qu’une amertume de houblon plus herbeuses. Post-goût long-moyen, moyennement amer de houblon résineux, herbeux et aux notes citriques, léger d’alcool doux avec un léger goût fruité (zest d’agrumes, notes de pelures d’abricots). (hiver 2006-07)
