Bottle from, humm, pretty sure Cave A Bulles, Paris. Managed to miss the spring seasonal not noticing the differences between the labels, damn! Anyway, this poured a darker amber-brown body with a huge white head that went away slow. Salty yet sweetish agrumey nose, some dust, ok Enough. Sticky malty taste, somewhat beet-like hopiness, some chocolate, a bit acidic, ashy, agrumey, salty again, all around a bit creamy. All in all slightly messy but an ok IPA.

bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourg. Hazy golden-brown colour, large off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops with a resiny and earthy touch. Full-bodied, solid malty base with enormous loads of citrusy hops, plus some shy resiny and grassy flavours. The maltiness includes hints of caramel. Well-balanced, like a good American IIPA.

bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourg. Deep brown colour, cloudy, large beige head, quickly diminishing. Lots of roasted alts, shy hints of caramel, dry palate. There is a flavour present that probably comes from the licorice roots, I thought it rather "green" and herbal, nettle-like flavour. Highly unusual but very interesting.

Cloudy orange brown beer. Very dry palate, Orange and mandarin fruity malt. Brief banana. Finishes with dry spicy malt. Nice flavour but the overdry palate lets it down a bit.

Muddy yellow body and a decent large head. Aroma is all hops, very strong and pentrating on the nose. Strong taste of pine, juniper, and hops. all floral plants, very aromatic, like sucking on a mistletoe. Not that that’s a bad thing - it’s unique, and probably would go well with a Christmas cake or at a holiday turkey dinner.

Aroma of hops, alcohol, and not much else. Pours foggy yellow-beige with minial head. Taste is yeast, malts, alcohol, syrup. Too sweet of a finish. Too excessive, in everything, to enjoy drinking.
