On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe – as Hammerton Crunch. Pours black with a small cream head. Has a buttery aroma with roasted malts in the background. Similarly a buttery, creamy texture in the mouth, with flavours of liquorice, dark fruits and peanuts. Some lactose comes through at the end to give it sweetness. Nice enough and the peanut butter not too overwhwlming.

Can via Beer52 sub. Pours dark brown towards black with a dark beige head. Aroma: fudge, chocolate, fruit cake, coffee hints. Taste: Moderate to heavy sweet & light to moderate bitter, milk chocolate, fudge, toffee. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Does what it says on the tin, body a bit thin

On tap at The Made Inn Ashford Turbid orange gold colour lasting cream head Citrus hoppy beer. low bitterness. not too full in mouth. lots of fresh fruit flavours some peach apricot grapefruit. certainly entertaining. decent

On draught at the Hammerton Brewery tap. Brownish black with a ring of beige head. Sweet aroma, I'm getting some caramel but nothing specifically butterscotch-y. That comes with the sweet, glory taste, a mountain of butterscotch syrup lands on the tongue before an almost harsh hoppy bitterness. Light body for the ABV, medium carbonation. A delicious beer for sure.

Draught at the brewery. Dark brown and opaque with a ring of beige head. Fresh caramel with fresh vanilla and chocolate fudge notes in the aroma. Sweet, gooey taste with a good bit of hoppy bitterness in the finish. Full, oily body with soft carbonation. A tasty stout.

330ml can from Dry Drinker. Pours dark brown, small beige head. Surprisingly vibrant chocolatey biscuity peanut butter aroma. Lovely smooth palate with milky chocolate, biscuit and peanut butter coming through nicely to taste. Just needs a bit more body and these AF beers will give the real stuff a run for their money.

330ml can from Dry Drinker. Clear gold pour, small white head, well carbonated. Welcoming citrussy aroma, fruity citrussy first sip before it fades dry revealing its alcohol free ways. Nicely balanced with enough fruity nuances coming through. Really rating Hammerton's AF beers so far.

440ml can @ Free-Dumb tasting, Chez Sophie, July 21. Intriguing spicy chai-like vanillery aroma that I assume is down to the chicha. Nicely sour, with some good fruity berry notes. Genuinely different and works well. Alongside the cracking alcohol free beers I've had from Hammerton i've been pretty impressed with this brewery.
