Description
Peter Brooks and Mark Conquest created their artisan cyder with a passion and vision to produce a fine cyder, with only selected, locally grown apples in the heart of Cambridgeshire. Using oak aged vats, the carefully pressed apples are left to ferment to create that quintessential Brooks & Conquest taste.

This artisan cyder, produced as an annual limited edition, is individually bottled and beautifully styled.

750 flip top courtesy of Shiggy Shig.

Stemless wine glass at home.
Dark, muddy, fresh pressed cider look to it.
Smell is sweet & sharp grocery store apples. Cooked down & unpasteurized fresh cider that's left out & starts ferment. A touch of plummy floral.
Taste is sweet & bittersharp flesh. Very mellow smoke, off-plastic & lingering floral. Pedestrian approachable, moldy oak & a nicely lingering tartness that tries to dry it out. Fresh cider finish that makes me curious if it's back-sweetened.
Body is still but has some texture & heft. Middle high acid & middle soft tannins. There is some belly burn but it drinks pretty easy.

A bit simple but drinks good.

Bottle shared by Shiggy Shig! Twenty ounces all to myself.

Lowball. Intentionally still, what's with the resealable cage?
Filtered, medium amber beverage.
Smells bittersharp, gum, spiced rum & cider vinegar sourness.
Taste is cooked/caramelized sharp & sweet apples, mulled red wine, touch of popsicle stick, soft wild funk - probiotic apple cider vinegar twang on the tail. Is it turning or is it intentional? Full flavored but a touch sweet to be without enough complimentary astringency.
Thin but a little sugary, acidy, medium tart, medium-low tannins, easy for the listed abv.

Kinda good.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of apples and a lot of fink with hints of brown sugar. The woody element also comes though. Taste is of sugary apple with grape and hints of mild spice on the aftertaste. Very good.
