What is X?

Our Story:

To us, The X represents and is about crossing paths, coming to a juncture and ending up where you want to be.

We are a patchwork of professional brewers, and beer lovers who had too often asked ourselves, If I wasn’t doing what I am doing now, what would I be doing?

To us, life is about being where you want to be, not where you have to be.

We are a team that has put our best efforts forward to produce great clean beer, provide an unparalleled brewery experience, and contribute to the greater wellbeing of community.

A reason, a season, or a lifetime. You’ll find it at Brewery X.

16oz can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Jan 23. Thanks Jeremy for bringing this back from your travels. Misty orange appearance, good white head. Nice big whiff of tangerine 🍊 light palate, soft wheat.. fine refresher.

30th January 2023, Shrewsbury Monthly Gathering at Chez Sophie, only four of us to share the beers. I brought the 16oz can of this back with me from California. Bought at a random Liquor Store in Huntington Beach. Hazy orange pour with a decent white crown of foam. Smell and taste is surprise, surprise 'Tangerine' like! Nice easy going wheat beer with the traditional banana and clove flavours replaced by 'Tangerines'.

Tap at the brewery has out back on lovely day and enjoyed the food trucks. Dark golden and foamy head not too many bubbles. Tastes of some light floral hops, grass and tangerines. Lively enough. Refreshing.

Tall US can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, March 22. Pours dark with medium beige head. Gingerbread aroma, smooth on the palate, with subtle peppermint chocolate flavours. Interesting, a bit different.

Monday 7th March 2022, monthly beer exchange in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Usual 5 suspects sharing beers and talking bollocks. I took the 16oz can of this, brought it back from California last week. It's black with a tanned head. Interesting thing really, peppermint and chocolate in both the nose and taste, not overly sweet, a bit like a one of those Quality Street 'Matchmakers', but in liquid form.

Big Ass Can of Craft Malt Liquor so the writing on my 19.2oz can says. Poured into a La Chouffe tulip glass three times on 22nd February 2022 at my daughters in Laguna Hills. Bright, clean and clear golden body, white crown on each pour, faded on each one too! Corn, grainy nose and taste with a sugary sweetness. This is a headache in a can sort of beer, so I ate as I drank and wrote this piece. A Pretzel, some marinated Olives and a few snack biscuits to help soak up the beer. No attempt to hide the alcohol level with any taste or flavours. just a booze burn below the sweetness. This is one of those Let's get Pissed and do something stupid sort of beers. Right I'm off outside to torch someone's car!

Tall can (19.2oz), drank with a Thai meal at my daughters in Laguna Hills on 18th February 2022. Slight haze to the golden body, white head. The nose and taste have a citrus leaning and a hoppy bias that leaves a semi-bitter feel in the mouth. It's OK without blowing your socks off.
