Description
Our Brewery is based in North Wales and located in the Plassey, it is the oldest micro brewery in Wales surrounded by glorious countryside. Richard moved into the brewery in 2017 and started making real ale from our 12-barrel brew plant. We focus on brewing a core range with some seasonal specials. Our ethos is to only brew beer we want to drink as we are a small brewery and we want every brew to count. You can try the range of beer in pubs in England and Wales and of course in our own Taproom in Wrexham. We also sell bottles here online and mini kegs too. I hope you enjoy drinking the ale as much as we enjoy brewing it. Liz Lever – Founder.

Formed following the takeover of New Plassey Brewery. Magic Dragon brewery started brewing in Spring 2017. New Plassey (prev Plassey and Gertie Sweet) is separately listed.

Draft at Vinny and Ted, Chalfont St Peter. Poured a clear light amber colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, nettle, grassy. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, grassy, dank, piney, light grapefruit citrus, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

500ml bottle from Everyman's, Shrewsbury. Pours dark, off-white head. Nicely rich dark ale, liquoricey feel but doesn't come across like a black IPA necessarily, lacking that sharp hop pine bite one is accustomed to nowadays. Decent sipper.

Hand-pulled pint with Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas in the Armoury, Shrewsbury on 24th January 2024. Clean amber body, off-white crown. Malty front, like so many Welsh Bitters, this also held some bittering fruity hops, but the maltiness ruled the flavours from start to finish.

Shared third of a pint at the 31st Shrewsbury Beer Festival in St Mary's Church on 28th September 2023. Looks and smells like a Porter, someone forgot to put the Blackberry's in, or didn't put enough in the influence the aroma or flavours.
