Bottle - Vintage 2012 - Light toffee, milk chocolate and light barrel notes. Deep clear amber with a yellowish head. Toffee, burnt sugars, barrel and some booze. Not bad, maybe better with even more age.

Bottle from Legacy Liquor, Vancouver
Blond color, pale, hazy, with large bubbles, and small cheap head. The aroma is mild; there is something to talk about, but it’s too light: cereals, malt, hint of grass and lemon, also a metallic impression (7-). Dry mouthfeel, the malt is a bit husky and dusty, a bit bready, not very crispy; strong bitterness, but not enough hop quality. Long but uninteresting final.
I always want to try a Pilsner brewed by a trusted brewery, but this one doesn’t deliver. I will like to try the draught one if available.
Why does it cost 8$ for a bottle? Are we paying special R&D? one point removed because it’s too expensive.

650mL bottle, pours a clear yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out grassy hops, dry biscuity malt and some floral notes. Flavour is clean and crisp, with crisp grassiness and biscuity malt. Very dry, clean and crisp. Very nice pils.

2014-08-03, bottle from Hillside Liquor, Victoria, 7-4-7-3-16=37
Cloudy blond color, but also with a orange hue and a bright light; generous, persistent head. Very nice aroma, bready, with evident lactic. Well carbonated, with soft mouthfeel; there is some malt flavor, lemon, salt and lactic acid, each in moderate quantity; light crackers.
Excellent thirst quencher; I will see if it develops further, in a few months.
2014-07-02, draught at Darby’s Pub, Vancouver, 7-3-7-3-16=36
Cloudy light blond color with small head. The aroma is lightly lemony, fresh, lactic, hint of berries. Soft mouthfeel; it has a mild bready flavor, lactic acid, lemon touch, and the saltiness is well integrated; great balance, finishing with correct bitterness.
Excellent Gose.
The next step would be adding some smoked malt for even more greatness.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of strong hoppy notes with citrus flavours is pretty nice with some resinous and piney notes also identifiable. Taste is dominated by loads of citrus and piney hoppy flavours with some sweet malt notes that are also discernable. Body is full with great carbonation. Nice hops profile but malt base if just a bit too sweet for my liking in the style.

2021-02-19, bottle, 7+ years old, 7-4-7-2-13=33
Very dark, just some maroon. Aroma of cherries, prunes, some oxidation. light foot. Some residual sweetness, cherry pits, moderately sour, with strong oak character in the finish, even harsh if possible. Interesting, but definitively declining.
2014-06-28, bottle at CapFlu's Blomster Bash, bottled 03.12.13, 8-4-7-3-16=38
Cloudy dark amber color with small compact head. Very nice cherry and cherry pit aroma, and almost biscuity, with some Brett and pedio; wonderful. Smooth mouthfeel moderately sweet, with strong Morello cherry flavor, some tannins, moderate sourness.
Excellent.

2020-09-25, bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver, 7-5-7-3-14=36
Beautiful golden colour, clean. The aroma is a bit weedy, earthy, with elegant notes of caramel and bread. Dry mouthfeel, it's more difficult to get the same malt notes in the flavour; the hop is quite herbaceous, a bit piney; not really fond of the pithy bitterness in the finish.
Good experience to review a "classic", but nothing exciting.

A month later, the feeling is exactely the same.
2016-10-12, bottle, undated, 8-4-7-3-15=37
Golden color, clean, with large bubbles. The aroma shows biscuity quality from the malt, and earthy, manure from the hops. The mouthfeel is dry, the malt is a bit biscuity, maybe even grainy, the bitterness is strong, but the hop is resiny and a bit vegetable, not juicy, leading to a pithy ending bitterness.
A good beer, but not the best one in the Province, even not the best one from Driftwood.
2015-09-24, bottle, undated, 8-5-7-4-16=40
Hazy bronze color with large head. The aroma is quite pungent, with a dank touch. The mouthfeel is quite smooth; the malt flavor is present, with also light residual sweetness; the hopping is fresh, fruity, and also a bit dunky and earthy. The final is less bright, more vegetable than desired.
It seems more achieved than last year's.
2014-10-01, bottled 09.17.2014, 7-5-7-3-14=36
Wonderful golden color, hazy, with bright light, and medium sized compact head. The aroma is initially quite grassy; it mellows out then, and it also shows some sign of asian food, and wild animal. Smooth mouthfeel, semi-dry; the malt flavor doesn't seem to be of any interest, the hops have a hay and gras character; strong bitterness, but some mess in the end.
Confirmed tat this year's version is far from spectacular; it's still a good beer.
2014-09-28, draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver, 7-4-7-4-14=36
Hazy golden color with compact head. Nice hop aroma, a bit earthy and grassy; good mouthfeel, soft pale malt flavor, light residual sweetness, grassy hops.
2014-09-25, cask at Tap & Barrel, Coal Harbor, Vancouver, 7-4-7-4-15=37
Golden to light amber color, hazy, with compact head. Nice aroma, milder than expected though, with bready malt and sweaty hop, a bit earthy, almost British. Good body structure, and correctly carbonated; the mouthfeel is smooth; lean malt flavor, suitable background for IPAs, with light colored caramel and toasty notes; very strong bitterness, strong resiny character from the hop, also fairly grassy and earthy, not fruity. The final is very long, but with woody (vegetable) notes too.
A very solid IPA, should I say that it's less fresh and less impressive than expected?

Hazy golden color. The aroma is nice, bread, cereals and hop. Lean, zesty, with good malt profile and good hopping, minty and resiny.
Excellent.
Fresh must be fantastic, can't wait to try the next batch.
