Cask (?) at Kitty’s, Helsinki. Poured an extremely dark red, clear, almost black. Small persistent off white rocky head. Light sweet malty nose, coffee, bit oily but generally nice. The taste is disappointingly empty, some rye bread,, some fruitiness, quite drinkable due to the body and leaving a lasting bitter aftertaste. Some peach too. Not a typical Porter I guess and not my favorite.

Cask. Orange colour, slightly off-white head. Aroma is mildly roasted malts along with caramel and fruits. Flavour is fruits, caramel malts, some slight roated notes as well as mild spices and some nuttyness. Semidry palate.

Cask @ 3 Judges. Dark ruby red - mahoney colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, licorice. Flavour is roasted malts, bitter coffee, fruits. A bit watery. Quite bitter finish.

On gravity at Bristol beer festival, 19/03/10. Pale gold in colour with a frothy white head. Aroma of straw and strawberry fruit. Flavour was dominated by the strawberries, which were up front and lingered through out. Avoided being over sweet, but still not pleasant.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Dark copper colur with brief, beige head. Malty nose with dried fruit, apricots, dark bread, some caramel and dusty hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, apricots, citrus and dusty hops in a bittersweet finish. Medium body with soild malt foundation and some sweetness. Nice and tasty bitter.

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, some floaties visible, big rocky off-white head - leaving an impressive lacework; sweetish grains and mild exotic fruits in the bitter-hoppy nose; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, creamy MF; lingering spicy fruity and bitter finish with hops sticking to the palate in the aftertaste. Pretty good.....

Cask at Max’s in Baltimore. Cloudy dark yellow, thin white head that disappears rapidly and leaves massive lacing. Aroma of citrus and malt, with a bit of white pepper. Taste is dominated by the malt, but well-balanced, dry bitter, peppery finish. This is pretty much what a traditional English bitter should taste like - not over the top, not massively hopped or highly spiced. Classic example of the style, properly served.

6th November 2008. Clear gold beer. Grapefruit hops very nicely balanced by sweet peach! Not too dry and very drinkable.

Cask@Market Porter, London. Ambery golden colour, small white head. Aroma is hops, fruits, some sour wood as well as sour berryish notes. Flavour is fruits, wood, some slight toffeeish notes as well as some caramel maltyness. Quite grassy finish.
