two hand-pulled pints in The Mitre (a pub in Witheridge, Devon) on 30th July 2024. clean light golden body, snow white crown. Easy going beer, nice blend without upsetting anyone's taste buds. Slight fruity bite, mid-bitterness, low malt content, nothing to get excited about!

Cask at Bull & Stirrup, Chester – though I have drunk it before. Pours “bitter brown” with a small foamy off-white head. Toffee to the fore in the aroma plus just a hint of hops. In the mouth it is slightly bitter with a creamy texture. Plenty of malts, citrus and biscuits in the flavour and later on hints of ginger and autumn fruits as well. Bitterness intensifies in the slightly dry finish. This is a decent premium bitter.
