Medium white coarse-laced head; yellow body. Clean, light malty aroma with some floral hops. Acidic, clean taste of light malts with dry, floral hops aftertaste. Hops grow more pronounced as the beer warms. Not bad.

50cl on tap at Blå Rock Cafe in Tromsø during By:Larm 2006. Served too cold. Nice and clear dark-brown colour. Some light caramel in aroma and flavour. Light bodied and short lived aftertaste.

On tap at Mack’s Ølhallen in Tromsø. Clear deep brown colour. Some beige foam. Malty nose. Sweet malty and caramel flavours. Satisfying aftertaste. Still as good as before xmas.
Rerated: 500ml at tap on Ølhallen. The 2006 etition has got a nice mahogany coloured body with a low-level, but lasting, off-white head. Medium aroma of burnt malt with hints of dark fruits. Well balanced flavour of dark, roasted caramel and some notes of grain. Warming alcohol remains in the background towards the ending. Moderate palate and a bit crispated. Same score as vintage 2005 (31.10.2006).
Rerated: 500ml at tap on Ølhallen. The 2006 etition has got a nice mahogany coloured body with a low-level, but lasting, off-white head. Medium aroma of burnt malt with hints of dark fruits. Can. Golden with a medium off-white head. Light caramel-malty aroma with hints of hops and vegetables. Flavor is mostly malt and caramel and it has a balanced, but mild bitterness in the finish. I think it is a bit over-carbonated. Medium body. (060207)

44cl can. Clear nut brown colour with a disappearing off-white head. Sweet malty aroma, a bit week body. To little bitterness making this a quite average beer. Short finish.

Medium, white, coarse-laced head shrinks quickly into a thin foam cover on a pale yellow body with some ongoing carbonation. Faint floral hop aroma with notes of freshly sawed wood. Taste is lots of floral hops, somewhat bitter, with the same wooden notes towards the end. Very light, and clean-tasting, and entirely dominated by the hops. Easily the best Norwegian Pilsener I’ve had. This is quite good, thanks to the hops.

A yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sour with notes of corn and straw - and so is the flavor - with a dry end.

Bottled. Pale golden with a diminishing white head. Sweet malty and light alcoholic aroma with a hint of something unpleasant I don’t recognize. Malty flavor, with some alcohol coming towards the finish, along with some hops and sweetness. Ok body. (060111)
