Again an earthy, farmyard background aroma from this brewery. This time more subtle though. There’s an abundance of dark, roasted malts. It’s bittersweet with cocoa in the finish. Thick and oily.

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate, leading to a dry finish.

Gold to orange in colour. Aroma is musty. Smells like a farmyard, manure. Flavour is a bit grassy and herbal. A shame about the bad smell.

Bottled. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of smoke, roasted malt, dark chocolate, and a bit of coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, coffee, and a bit of smoke leading to a dry roasted finish.

Sample @ 6de Gents Bierfestival 2015. Noire foncée, col crémeux moka, le tout laissant un filament doré au verre. Arôme est fruité rouge, malt en rétro apportant un caractère caramel, et finement chocolaté. Palais est malté renforcé avec un profil s’apparentant presque à une bière de Alvinne dans le côté fruité rouge légèrement aigrelet. Effervescence est moyenne, pour une certaine épaisseur en fin de bouche. Correcte en s’éloignant de ce que j’ai pu gouté précédemment niveau IRS tchèques.

Pitch black, tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, light chocolate. Sweet flavour, caramel, coffee, red fruits. Quite bitter finish coffee, chocolate.

Intensiv fruchtig hopfiger Antrunk, süßlich, grasig, etwas Zitrone und Papaya. Hell würzig mit etwas hellem Malz. Frisch. 11/11/11/12//11

Deutlich malzig röstig bitterer Antrunk. Intensive Schokoladennoten, weich. Die Bitterkeit steigt zum Ende während die Malzigkeit sinkt, würzig, ausgewogen. 11/11/11/11//11

Sample @ 6de Gents Bierfestival 2015. Dorée, col fin blanc. Arôme au bouquet bien houblonné, frais sur un relent tropical-agrumes plaisant, retrouve aussi un léger côté herbacé rappelant le fourrage. Palais est malté, léger fine amertume houblonnée tirant encore vers un profil agrume modéré et un petit rétro noble type Saaz? Malt léger type pils-pâle, correcte.
