Pours deep amber into a snifter. White head with good retention recedes to hug rim. Blueberry and sweet meringue aromas. Sharp with lactic blueberry upfront turning to bitter pith before the lasting aspirin finish.

500ml bottle pours out a dark amber red topped with a sand head. Nose is tart cherries a mix of sweet and some dark malts the smoke. Taste is more of the cherries a mix of sweet and tart. The smoke doesn’t really help this one.

Bottle date of 06/15/16.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a soft hazy orange color with a slight transparency about it. Finger’s worth of white foamy head quickly dies off. No lacing.
The smell starts off with some sweet cherries, light breadiness. Herbal sweetness. Sweet grass/somewhat like sage. Honey, and sweet lemon pulp.
The flavor was basically the same with a big herbal sweetness running into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a semi-syrupy texture about it. Herbal sweetness wants to cling but softly slides on my tongue.
Overall, not a bad biere de’Garde by an American brewer though most American brewer’s tend to get the Mouthfeel in these slightly sticky, hmmm....maybe again.

Poured into pokal.
The appearance was a hazy burnt pink color. Quickly dissipating filmy white head. No lacing.
The smell starts off with the sour-ed wheat, and then the blueberries with a slight twang of lemon rind and bitternesss underneath.
The flavor wraps it all together. Sticks to the \"sour\" side of the wheelhouse like a normal Berliner should. Meshed-in sticky sour feels it’s way into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionable feel to it. Carbonation does run fairly light. Leaves a nicely calculated sour-ness hitting my tongue.
Overall, I say pretty good Berliner Weisse that I would have again. Blueberries to me, yeah, I have a slight bias to those lil’ buggers, so having them in this beer is a plus. I like the idea, and this was executed nicely.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a solid hazy burnt yellow color with a slim finger’s worth of heady/hazy/foamy white lacing. Moderate sliding lacing.
The smell starts off with some light bitter pine, subtle orange to lemon bitter rind. Sourness is there, but contained.
The flavor starts off sour with nice subtle nuances of a sweet citrus pulp to lend its hand super subtly underneath. Nice sweet to sour aftertaste running into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable feel about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the sourness/harshness to hit appropriately on my tongue, but still, yeah, hmmm...its fairly smooth for the most part.
Overall, reminiscent like orange juice finding an unannounced \"wild\" side. Sour, yes, this one definitely shows it’s worth as an American Wild Ale. I’d have again.
