Tap at the brewery - this is the unsmoked, summer version of this beer, aged in wine barrels - clear light gold - soapy lace - the summer version of this beer lends itself well to the wine barrel - frothy, full mouthfeel - nose and flavor are light, crisp, fruity - the barrel simply adds light grape must and light tartness - light minerality in the finish - subtle, but fairly tasty.

Tap at the brewery - had to let this get to room temp - cold it was boozy as hell - dark ruby with a soapy head - low carbonation - barrel adds a nice vanilla and toasted coconut character that compliments the base beer pretty well (sits well with the darker malts) - moderate brandy character - some black.cherry - dough and spicy oakiness finish, with a light.boozy.warmth - body could use a little more heft, but this is their best barrel-aged product so far.

Tulip glass at the brewery - turbid glowing orange - thick, fluffy head - fairly malt forward for a pale, but the malts are biscuity and lay a nice foundation for the hops, which.are equal parts juicy (citrus) and woody - the texture is nice and soft and the hops melt nicelt into the.malt structure - finish is lightly.peppery and moderately sweet - nice malt-forward pale.

Tap at the brewery - turbid glowing orange with a sticky, thick lace - nose is earthy, whole apricot fruit, soft wheat, light honey, light acid - flavor is a nice mix of sweet apricot, moderate tangy acidity, and even a touch of savory character on the tail end - solid session fruit beer that is not overly sweet or too heavy on the fruit.

While the base beer is crisp an well-define - this is softer, sweeter, and a bit more muddled - toasty vanilla/coconut oak character is most apparent (I do not taste any character from the wine) - some of the peppery phenols of the base beer are present, but there is also a doughy yeast note that muddles things even more - the base beer is much better.

Tap at the brewery - turbid orange - thick, well-sustained head - nose is dusty/musty, with some tangy and.sweet orange flesh, some peppery and rustic phenols, cracked grains - flavor is tangy, moderately sweet citrus up.front, but a quenching acidity y develops through the middle - then the beer dries out and brings peppery phenols, flinty/mineral notes, moderatw bitterness - dry, lightly bitter finish, with lingering acidity - hugely promising recipe from this new brewery.

Dark brownish ruby - low carbonation, smooth, slightly slick texture - moderate roast, char, and black malt bitterness - moderate acidity late, with some notes of blueberry, dark chocolate - a hint of smoke late, as the beers dries out a but for the finish - lingering roast and slight alcohol warmth - decent baltic.

Nose is mostly brandy barrel (brandy, toasted oak, coconut), but at least it is not overpowering and boozy - the base beer is just too light in character, so even in the flavor, all I really taste is the barrel - little of the base beer’s character remains aside from some toasty malt hiding way underneath - thin, watery texture - a significant decline from the base beer.

Lightly hazy copper - nose and flavor of crusty bread, roasted nuts, mild toffee, earthy yeast character - the dry maltiness is quite nice (toasty, bready), but it gets a little sweet and thin in the finish - still, a decent beer.

Turbid straw color - thick, sticky lace - nose of soft, tangy wheat, some white frosting sweetness, with counter-balancing grape skin tartness and spices - flavor is light and tart, with mild underlying orange flesh sweetness, soft herbal notes, light dusty yeast - another winner here.
