Hinter dem Munich Brew Mafia stehen zwei kreative Köpfe, die ihr Handwerk gelernt haben. Als Diplombraumeister und Bier-Sommerlier hat Dario Stieren das Wissen und die Leidenschaft. Da steht ihm sein Geschäftspartner Niklas Zerhoch um nichts nach. Zusammen brechen sie mit Bierkonventionen und ihre Interpretationen eines Craft Beer nehmen eine Reise um die Welt. Technisch ausgefeilt und mit viel Herz für das Brauen gehen sie immer neue Wege und setzen Akzente in der wachsenden Craft Beer Szene. Deshalb sollte man diese zwei jungen ""Mafia"" Paten aus München unbedingt im Auge behalten und sich die ein oder andere Schöpfung von ihnen kaufen. Immer nur so lange der Vorrat reicht - deshalb schnell zuschlagen und genießen.

Bottle picked up from Craft Beer Shop and consumed at home Wednesday 5th June 2024, sat in the garden in glorious sunshine, Loz certainly brought the weather back from Greece with her. We had Asparagus wrapped in Smoked Tyrolean Ham in a Cheese and Mustard Sauce. Pours a grubby puddle looking amber/brown with large white/off white head. Usual wheatiness notes but banana is overipe here and less of the clove notes, there's a touch more hoppiness than one would usually find. Similar in the mouth department, over-ripe banana, wheaty, malty a little peachiness. Good beer.

Clear red brown to dark brown beer, big solid creamy beige head, stable, adhesive. Aroma: oxidized, soy sauce, caramel, dried fruits, spicy, some Madeira, Port. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: wow, very weird, very unexpected bitterness, a bit fruity, lots of alcohol, very oxidized, hoppy, some chlorine. Aftertaste: very bitter ending, tobacco, dry, hoppy, very chewy hops, very weird, meh.

Clear orange beer, big creamy yellowish head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: nice, lots of tropical fruits, juicy, ripe mango, a little malty, caramel, nice stuff. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, fruity, juicy, lots of citrus, oranges, orange peel, some grapefruit. Aftertaste: gentle bitterness, pretty fruity, orange peel, a sweet touch, some caramel, tropical fruits, juicy, hint of diacetyl, malty finish, nice one but not the best.

0.5 l bottle from 'AleHub', best before October 2024. Hazy, amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity and a bit floral aroma of pineapple, lemon peel and a touch of honey. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather fruity and slightly floral taste of pineapple, lemon peel, caramel, nuts and some honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Interesting beer, but too hoppy for my liking, lacks balance. Too effervescent as well.

Bottle from Bierothek, Bamberg. Hazy dark brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of liquorice, raisin, red apple, brown sugar, caramel, coffee, liqueur. Taste has sweet red apple, pear & raisin in a caramelly, slightly chocolatey malt body with a herbal liquorice note and a whiff of coffee. Herbal & earthy hoppy finish, lingering dried fruits and warming brandy-like alcohol. Medium body, syrupy texture, average carbonation. Decent effort and enjoyable, but the coffee could have been more pronounced.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy amber orange with a fluffy head, looks like there was some hops left in this beer. Resin, maple syrup, lemon, licorice, herbs. Mild zesty bitterness, sweetness, sourish. Medium bodied, low carbonated, dry zesty sweet finish. Rather unusual and weird, but hey, something else..

0.33 l bottle at Ambasada, Zagreb. Clear orange, small off-white head. Intense fruity candy aroma, tangerine, orange juice, light solvent, some green apple, some ripe apple. Hints of alcohol, spice, banana and metal. Tart, citrusy, zesty, slightly aggressive, alcoholic, lightly spicy, phenolic, rough, dry. Light to medium body, warming, some sweetness from the fruity extract but finishes dry.
