Bottle. 4.8%. Dusty aroma, some predator. Golden colour, small, stable, creamy white head. Dusty hop flavour, not very bitter. Good mouthfeel. Has some strange flavour to it, perhaps skunked.

(bottle) Clear orangey golden colour with short bubbling foamy white head. Slightly sweet grainy and strawy aroma with shy hops. Moderately sweet initial malty and grainy taste, quite slim-bodied, well-carbonated mouthfeel; drying hops in the slightly bitter finish. Unspectacular Helles but fresh and easy to drink.

Bottle. 0,33l. Pale golden with a big white head that soon settles, Some dry bitter aroma. A lasting aftertaste. One of the best organic beers so far.

Bottle. Bready, sweetish aroma, slightly metallic. Slightly cloudy copper colour, small white head. Watery flavour, quite bready with some aroma hops and a little dust. Not too bad for its ABV.

2006: 330 ml green bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). Crystal clear pale golden colour, large and lasting head, leaves a nice lacing. Aroma has surprisingly much (for a pilsener, that is) malty sweetness, some aromatic hops too. Notes of grass, hay and honey. Flavour has distinct and very good hops, balanced by a mellow maltiness in the background. Bitter aftertaste. A very good pils in my book, as far as pilseners go. The multinational brewers of cheap pale lager swill have something to learn here! Like all beers from Neumarkter Lammsbräu, it is organic.

Bottled. A clear, golden beer with a decent white head, leaving nice lacings. Aroma is quite weak, but some hops can be detected, along with some hay-notes. A crisp flavor with malts and fruity and piney hops, and a body that’s fuller than the lagers we usually gets here in Norway. As the beer is 4.7%ABV, it can be sold in the grocery stores, and I guess this one is imported just because it fits into that category. Not bad, just too ordinary. (060227)

500 ml bottle, now available in Norway in MENY stores. Clear golden colour, decent white head. Filtered without any use of adjuncts. Like all N.L. beers, it is organic. Nice grainy / malty / bready aroma with tolerable aromatic hops. Notes of alcohol, despite only 4.7% ABV. Grainy flavour with a certain malty sweetness, very moderate and "dusty" hops. A drinkable helles, but the style rarely makes me ecstatic.

Medium offwhite head over cloudy dark yellow body. Clean light aroma of floral hops. Tight, rounded sweetish malty taste with notes of grain, yeast, and strong grainy, resiny, pea-like hops. Hops very reminiscent of EKG. Dry, hoppy aftertaste. Very nice, and highly drinkable. An excellent helles.

Bottle. Sweet aroma, orange juice, prune. Almost clear golden colour. Small unstable head. The flavour is sweet and slightly watery, perhaps a little worty. Slight acidity which is nice enough in a soft drink. Aftertaste like sweet tea.
