Bottled, huge thanks E.S.! Shared at the Valhalla tasting. Pretty big, barrely aroma, cakey, plenty of raisins, brandyish-cognacish in a way, dusty, dates, creamy, pleasant. Smooth malty, caramelly taste, buncha raisins, alcohol, subtle, pleasant, good stuff! Heaven Hill is definitely better, but this is a good one too.

Bottled, thx ES! Valhalla tasting. Pitch black body, fleeting dark brown body. Complex, cakey aroma, cinnamon, chocolate and vanilla, caramelized banana. Smooth taste, the barrel shows up now, so creamy, elegant, creamy raisin and vanilla, caramel and vanilla, licorice, sweetish, alcohol is there but well restrained compared to others. Fun!

Bottled, thx ES! Valhalla tasting. Brown body, fleeting head. Intensive alcoholic, barrel-driven aroma, vanilla, raisins, brown sugar, dried figs, licorice. Smooth taste, heaps of dried figs, brown sugar, alcohol warmth, lighter than expected, bit grainy, low glue. Not bad, but too warm.

Galea Craft Beers - Rasta Rebel Jamaican Rum B.A.
Clear dark brown to black beer, small aery irregular beige head (not what I imagined for a “Belgian Brut Beer”), unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of alcohol rum, dried fruits, more alcohol, roasted touch, a bit oxidized. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, lots of rum all right, oxidized, some acetaldehyde, alcohol, soft roast, more acidic notes. Aftertaste: some chocolate, bitter, a bit funky, sweet caramel, lots of alcohol, acidic finish, ok but not the best. Probably infected in the barrel, which is - at 12.5% abv - an accomplishment I think.

330ml can @ Benzai's Anti-Carnival Valentine's Day Tasting, Feb 26. Pours an unclear deep amber, off-white head. Sticky sweet caramel is the order of the day .. that's about it .. a touch over-sweet, a bit sticky, moderate bitter finish.

Aus der Flasche im 2026-02 getrunken. Dieses mahagonifarben Ale zeigt ein vordergründiges Aroma was ich nicht zuordnen kann und irgendwo nach leicht rauchig und Amburana Einfluss erinnert. Was der Mezcal sein kann. Dazu finden sich Aromen von Sauerteig, Trockenfrüchte und Amarena Kirschen. Der hohe Alkoholgehalt ist perfekt eingebunden und vollkommen (gefährlich) unauffällig.

Clear amber beer, small eary irregular off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty yeasty, quite some banana, carmel, a bit of bubble gum, malty, grains, ok. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: malty start, very sugary, alcohol, caramel, a little bitter, more alcohol, pretty sweet, oxidized, some vanilla, a bit hoppy, nice! Aftertaste: sweet, caramel, sugary, lots of alcohol, bitter touch, nice stuff, good balance!

Black with a thin dark head. Big malty notes, booze, black pepper, baking spice, chocolate, faint raisin, earth. Full bodied. Finish is warm with spice. I wish the booze was rounded off just a touch but it’s not a deal breaker by any stretch. A big, bold beauty especially in the winter months.
