Description
Anfänglich haben wir unser Bier in der gemeindeeigenen Kommunbrauerei gebraut, und erst 1929 wird die brauerei ein eigenständiger gewerblicher betrieb. In 1958 wird die Brauerei in Burgbräu Neuhaus umbenannt. Rund 1960 wurde das Kommunsudhaus zu klein, so dass 1965 ein eigenes Sudhaus am Oberen Markt gebaut wurde.

Aufgrund der Verwechselbarkeit mit vielen Burg-Brauereien anderer Gemeinden erhält die Brauerei in 1966 den Namen Kaiser Bräu. Die Biere werden ebenfalls unter der Markenbezeichnung Kaiser distribuiert.

Für eine weitere Entwicklung der Brauerei war auch die beengte Lage im Ortskern von Neuhaus nicht ausreichend, und so errichteten wir im Auwald eine neue großzügige und ausbaufähige Braustätte. Seit 1991 werden in dieser neu erbauten Braustätte am Auwald mit modernster Brautechnologie und optimaler Qualitätssicherung Biere hergestellt und abgefüllt.

50 cL bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours clear and golden hazy orange to yellow with a small white head. Aroma is dark breadish and light roasted malty. Lingering malty flavoured finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malty, light grassy. Grassy flavoured, distinct breadish malt flavoured. Light roasted and vague sweetness coming through. Mild citric and lingering breadish finish.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of straw, citrus, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, hay, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber to orange with a thick off-white head. Aroma is dry breadish, slight roasted. Roasted, dry breadish and with a mild bitterness counterbalancing this. Lingering breadish and vague smoked/sulphorish note into the far finish.

clear brown, thick offwhite head. nutty brown aroma, caramel. flavor is sweet, chocolate, caramel.. nice.

Clear deep amber with a huge beige head. Sweet aroma with caramel, breadish and mushrooms. Flavour was sweet with mushrooms, roasted malt, caramel and hints of hops. Mild bitter finis.

Bottle 50cl.Clear light to medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, grain, toasted, keller dusty, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090813]

Bottle 50 cl. Clear golden with a dense white head. Sweet clean malts in the nose with a slightly perfumy hoppy whiff. Good, solid malt base, medium body and a pleasant sweetness. Not much hops but quite some alcohol to be detected in the finish. 130809
