Description

Test vom 16.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,12,12,11,9,12

Bottle. Hazy, yellow-orange pour with a large, off-white head and a good carbonation. The nose has banana and cloves and is quite fruity. Some hermetized pear is also present. Banana, yeast, cloves and some lemon and lime in the flavor. Some wheat as well. Medium, fizzy mouthfeel. It finishes with banana, some wheat and cloves, as well as some yeast. A really nice weiss-bier. Or maybe I just needed it then? It might disappoint me if I try it again, but it was nice at that moment. (070804)

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with a dense, off-white head. Sweetish and clean malt aroma. Medium-bodied, a little low in carbonation with clean, malty accents and an edge of caramel. Almost no bitterness. Soft and pleasant. 180907

On tap at Berliner Bierfestival. It was served with a clear, copper body, topped by a creamy, beige head. That was probably the best part of the beer. It wasn’t bad, far from, but maybe a bit boring, especially on the nose. The aroma was both a bit weak, and a bit one-dimentional, with caramel and hops, and not much more showing up. It had malt and caramel in the mouth as well, but there was a nice fruity touch to accomplish the medium mouthfeel. It finished malty. Although it is a bit anonymous, it’s a quite nice beer. Rating: 4-4-5-3-10-2.6. (070803)

Had the beer from bottle the day after, and that was a far better experience. The pour was the same, a clear, copper body and a nice, beige head. The aroma and flavor was far better though, with caramel, well roasted bread, yeast-notes and a little fruityness. The flavor had caramel, dark bread, sweetness and a bitterness. It finished with caramel, bread-crusts and some bitterness. Medium body with maybe a bit too much carbonation, but not in a bad way. A lovely, dark landbier. (070804)

In Ordnung. Test vom 11.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,10,11,11,11,11
