Description

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours an orangey golden with a slight haze and a neat, creamy white head. Very distinct aroma of bananas and some yeast. Soft and pleasant mouthfeel with a low carbonation. Sweetish, fuity with typical banana esters standing out. Vague underlying tartness. A lovely Hefe. 270206

Swing-top bottle: Pale golden coloured, thin but lacing foamy layer; sweetish malty/grainy nose, traces of aromatic hops; bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; lingering bitter-aromatic and malty finish. Good! A good balance between a distinctive sweet-malty body and a gentle, almost noble hop-bitterness; more a Bohemian than a "slim" german Pilsener. Quite close to the good czech originals and far better than the boring Gambrinus/Staropramen/Krusovice stuff !

(swing top bottle) Clear yellow colour with a frothy diminishing white medium head. Slightly sweet malty aroma with cake dove and wet straw. Dry malty initial taste with white bread, crispy carbonation, light-bitter hoppy finish. Pretty boring, but drinkable.

(swing top bottle) Slighlty hazy, golden coloured with a foamy white medium head. Yeasty and light-sweet malty nose with vanilla and a dense hoppy background. Smooth mouthfeel, yeasty and initially slightly sweet malty taste, quite thin herbal hoppy and yeasty finish. I´m not overwhelmed by this one.

(swing top bottle) Clear and dark amber colour with a foamy off-white medium head. Nutty and slightly sweet toasted malts aroma with caramel and a tinge of dried fruits and herbal hops. Almost dry initial toastmalted taste, slightly caramelly, medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Mild hoppy, slightly bitter and spicy finish. A rounded and very drinkable Landbier.

(swing top bottle) Clear golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Sweet malty nose with honey. Initially sweet malty, slightly toasted, with a malty and light bitter, hoppy and quite thin finish. Boring and not what I call a Christmas-Beer.

Swing-top bottle: Deep golden coloured, big fluffy head, slowly diminishing; (sweetish-) malty nose with a tinge of cardboard and honey; slightly sweetish malty start, becoming slowly drier; faint bitter-sweet flavour; slightly sweetish-malty finish with a tinge of hops from far behind. A weak Fest-Bier, pretty watery for a brew of 6.0% ABV...............!

Bottle: Straw golden coloured, thin steady foamy layer; mainly bready nose, kind of perfumed, some traces of wet cardboard and floral hoppiness; mainly dryish taste: bread, grain, malt; long lasting, dry, bitter-grainy aftertaste; not very aromatic at all and a bit tart. No great pleasure........

Swing-top bottle: Full amber colour, fluffy, medium-sized off-white head, lacing; moderate herbal hoppiness in the nose, hints of resin, caramel and roasted malts; light sweetish malty beginning, light bitter sweet flavour; the malty, complex taste ends in a distinctive bitter finish; very smooth, very well rounded. Absolutely moreish.....
