Description
We focus our attention on brewing rustic, unfiltered, aromatic beers that are approachable and unique. We pull from our home brewing background to build beers that pay homage to tradition, but break new ground in American brewing techniques and flavors by blurring the line between beer and wine. We are brewers of big ideas in very small batches.

Bottle. Pours hazy pink, medium off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is cherry, vanilla, kind of artificial. Flaky is light tart, light funk, soda/candy like. Medium body. Gotta agree with vin. The Venn diagram of vanilla and beer should have only stout at its intersection.

On tap at the Portal location. Aroma is fairly funk forward with that classic SARA funk notes of green grapes, apricots, and hints of lemon. Light grain and oak notes with hints of alcohol. A touch of a white wine note. Pours a hazy, golden orange color with a medium small, pillowy, white head that recedes to a small film that lingers. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly acidic with a slight sweetness and light grain notes. Medium bitterness and light alcohol notes. Lots of bright, fruity SARA funk with notes of peaches, apricots, green grapes and a touch of citrus. Light oak and white wine tannins. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, unsurprisingly, a very nice BA saison from SARA. Great funky notes and solid barrel character. A very enjoyable beer.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation and a bit of a creaminess to it. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid Belgian wit. Nice coriander and citrus notes. Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fruity with moderately strong notes of pear as well as some green grape, lemon and under ripe apricot notes. Faint oak and grain notes. Hints of alcohol. Pours a somewhat hazy, pale, yellow straw color with a small, thin, white head that recedes quickly to the edges and disappears. No lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with a medium light acidity and light grain notes. Medium low bitterness and light alcohol notes. Faint notes of oak. Moderately strong pear notes with light green grape, under ripe stone fruit and medium light lemon notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent season. Lots of typical SARA funk, although a bit more lemony and acidic. Tons of pear notes. I think my preferences would be for a drier, less acidic, more barnyard note to balance out the bright pear notes. A good cross between a beer and a perry nonetheless.
