It all began with a Christmas gift in 1994. Billy Pyatt, a notoriously hard guy to buy presents for, fell in love with the carboys, pots, hydrometers, grains, hops, chemistry, and physics involved in brewing. His brother, Scott, fell right in with him. Their love became an obsession that could only be resolved by going pro – not an easy thing to do in 1999!
We have tasting Rooms in Asheville, Morganton and Charlotte NC. Our kegs & cans are distributed in TN, NC, SC, GA and AL.

Interesting, mixing a subtle java backbone with a crisp golden ale graininess, but the natural vanilla flavor proves sweet and overbearing, becoming much more prominent than any coffee notes. Vanilla presence only grows as the pint warms. Good orange color, and the nose is decent--if subdued--but ease off the flavoring chemicals, guys.

Draft at the Charlotte source, expertly poured by Kimmy, thanks! Very dark brown color nice beige head with good retention, something that's hard to do in an eisbock. Fruity coffee aroma. Taste is malty vinous chocolate cookies dipped in port wine. Not boozy. Nice one.

Hazy pale yellow color. Slightly sweet aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet wheat beer and light bitter citrus with a subtle spice. Good example of witbier. Easy drinking.

Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a decent enough roasted coffee but not much else. Flavor is again a nice coffee and a little marshmallow sweetness. It's like coffee with the creamer added. Decent coffee beer that is sweet at the end.
