Description
The brewery (location) is closed, beer is being brewed in Alabama @ Oyster City Brewing.
It all began with a Christmas gift in 1994. Billy Pyatt, a notoriously hard guy to buy presents for, fell in love with the carboys, pots, hydrometers, grains, hops, chemistry, and physics involved in brewing. His brother, Scott, fell right in with him. Their love became an obsession that could only be resolved by going pro – not an easy thing to do in 1999!
We have tasting Rooms in Asheville, Morganton and Charlotte NC. Our kegs & cans are distributed in TN, NC, SC, GA and AL.

Can. Gold in color. Taste and Aroma is just a typical IPA with a hoppy note.

Alabama import via Appalachian. No longer brewed in AVL. Canned 15/08/2024, just never felt the urge to drink it.
Not quite clear, orange amber, lingering frothy head.
Sweet roasted pumpkin, earthy mellow spices, more malty than veggie nose.
Bittersweet upfront. Itchy toast, creme, flat pie spice, darker malt note, a little salt on the tail.
Frothy, high acid, belly warming, not terrible.

Can from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is spicy with coriander, citrus, orange peel, wheaty malt, and yeasty notes. Flavour is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Body is medium. A pretty sweet decent Witbier.

Yellow with a pinkish tint. Mildly sour, easy drinking, with a tart raspberry flavor. Dry finish with a hint of horse blanket aftertaste.
