Description
The brewery (location) is closed, beer is being brewed in Alabama @ Oyster City Brewing.

It all began with a Christmas gift in 1994. Billy Pyatt, a notoriously hard guy to buy presents for, fell in love with the carboys, pots, hydrometers, grains, hops, chemistry, and physics involved in brewing. His brother, Scott, fell right in with him. Their love became an obsession that could only be resolved by going pro – not an easy thing to do in 1999!

We have tasting Rooms in Asheville, Morganton and Charlotte NC. Our kegs & cans are distributed in TN, NC, SC, GA and AL.

2$ can from total wine durham. Pour is a darker almost black brown, yes, like a bear. Smell s typical malty brown, probably not musky like a bear would be. Seems to have a pretty good refreshing attitude, decent co2 level. Its dark without being burnt or bitter, friendly. Rather smooth fun. Good initial impressions. Not bad, good. Like a downer the hatch. This hen is a bonnie lass. Alright you wee bawbag. Really ignites the movement of your bahoochie and banger. This damsel is a hussy maiden. A wanton strumpet serving tramp. Not bad. Would by a few of these babies. Thank you Mr Scott.

Can (154-21, so 6/2/21?) pour from 1897 Market, Charlotte Airport. It's a hazy straw yellow with nice sparkle, finger-width white tight foamy head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is moderate tart fruit and wheat. Taste mirrors aroma. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and wheat cracker finish. Overall, only getting a tart fruit vs. coriander or orange. Pretty ho hum.
