It all began with a Christmas gift in 1994. Billy Pyatt, a notoriously hard guy to buy presents for, fell in love with the carboys, pots, hydrometers, grains, hops, chemistry, and physics involved in brewing. His brother, Scott, fell right in with him. Their love became an obsession that could only be resolved by going pro – not an easy thing to do in 1999!
We have tasting Rooms in Asheville, Morganton and Charlotte NC. Our kegs & cans are distributed in TN, NC, SC, GA and AL.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a murky gold color with a tight white head and good retention. Good lacing. Light yeast aroma. No strawberry aroma. Light yeast/bread flavor with a very light strawberry background flavor. Subtle. Just enough fruit flavor to cut the yeast notes. I'm not a witbier fan, and this tastes closer to a wheat ale. Better than I expected. Medium-light body and medium-light carbonation too. Zero bitterness.

10 oz draft. Aroma, soft, blueberry, and lemon juice. Flavor shows me soft sour wheat, cream of wheat, and soft blueberry. A very nice palate refresh.

Some serious homerism going on in these ratings. Kind of a misguided beer. Coffee on plenty, and some vegetable coffee tang. Golden pour with ok head. Not something you want to drink much of. Cream. Sweet finish with light off tang. Can.

Refrigerated 12 oz can poured into a glass. Cloudy with small white head. Aroma is wheat esters, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is wheat esters and some orange.

12 oz can from Total Wine. Pours a cloudy reddish-amber color with a small beige head and poor retention. No lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and pumpkin spices. The taste follows the nose: Sweet caramel malt flavor with strong cinnamon and nutmeg spices. Not much pumpkin flavor. Maybe I'm splitting hairs, but, this is more of a spicy amber ale versus a pumpkin ale. Medium body and carbonation. Not bitter. Okay.

Yea I had the zombie, now for the lemon ginger zombie, heheheh. Pour is cloudy pale from a can. Nose is somewhat slaggy. First taste is nothing expected. It starts with a medium phenolic bitterness and then rolls into a different kind of odd bitter bite. Decent co2. Cant really find the ginger in here, no warming sensations. The lemon is more like lemon peel rather than straight up lemon. Yes, cannot live up to its label. Don't judge a book by its cover, whew. Overall this stuff is just a little too difficult for me.
