Bottle, 75cl, from trade with Bryne. A more or less clear pale golden cider, lots of sparkling going on, and some bubbles stay briefly on top. The aroma is apple forward, clean apple juice and a light touch of apple cores, apple peel and alcohol. Feels quite dryish in the aroma, but in the mouth I don't think it's as dry as expected. Could use a bit more Dolgo and perhaps Royalty i think. I'm not familiar with Royalty, but guess that is quite acidic, like the Dolgo apple. Anyway, it's lighlty effervescent on the palate, very lightly warming, and medium to full bodied. Fresh apple juice, notes of lemon juice, alcohol and apple peel in the flavor. Not very complex, but nice for sure. Medium length apple juice finish with a lemony twist. A nice one, hope Sandalen makes a new version with more tartness. 240404

Bottle, 75cl, from trade with Bryne. It's a quite well sparkling pinkish golden colored beer with a rapidly diminishing white head. Some bubbles cover most of the cider all the way though. The aroma has a touch of butterscotch and berries. A bit surprised about the berries though, as I think it's apples only here. Might be tricked by the color. Fresh apple, some grass and forest hints. Feels sort of sweetish. It's quite effervescent on the palate, with a gentle acidity and some sweetness. Medium body and just a tad of alcohol heat. The feeling of butterscotch is present in the flavor too, and in general the flavor is pretty similar to the aroma. A bit short finish. A decent cider, but not a favorite of mine. 240404

Bottle, 75cl, from Bryne. A well sparkling cider with some initial white head. Mostly clear pinkish golden colored body. The aroma has a very light berry touch in the far back, which is explained looking at the quite hard to read label, where blackberry is mentioned. Fresh apple, apple juice and some apple cores and alcohol as well in the aroma. It's medium bodied, effervescent and lightly acidic on the palate, mostly dry, with some astringency. Apple flavors, some alcohol and berries, and a vague grassy, herbal touch. Medium length finish. A decent one. Perhaps a bit dull on the apple side, but the berry touch was nice and I'd like to see that a bit more pronounced. 240329

750 ml clear bottle, batch #20230115, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 7.2%. Clear and extremely pale straw colour, pours sparkling with a large but shortlived white head. Interesting and complex aroma of various apple varieties, appleskin, hints of oak and sulphites. Dry and crisp flavour, notes of eating apples, great with food, but also enjoyable on its own.

Bottle, from trade with Bryne. A clear ligjtly sparkling straw to golden colored cider with some vwhite bubbles. The aroma is quite vinous and alcoholic, with lots of dried and overripe fruit, some fresh fruit and a touch of straw, dry birch leaf and canned fruit mix. Some yeast notes. It's full-bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, really pleasant, with some sweetness to balanced the fruity acidity. Rich fruity flavor with fresh apple juice, light overripe apples, canned fruit mix, some yeast hints and a touch of candi sugar. Sort of like a Belgian Tripel infused strong apple cider. Lasting finish. Quite unusual this one, but damned fine. Rich, complex, tasteful and smooth. 240209
