Donkerrood bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is fruitig en vrij zoet met duidelijk iets van kers en amandel. Eigenlijk best een goed en smaakvol bier met precies de juiste fruitsmaak.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours very dark brown almost black with a reddish hue and a thinnish creamy beige head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, liquorice and molasses. Taste has more dry dark fruits, plums, ripe cherries and a very slight vinous note. Beautifully balanced and not too overly sweet like some Quads can be. Alcohol is extremely well hidden considering the high abv. Medium to full body with good bouncy carbonation. Great drink and up there with the best Quads i have tried to date. I will be back for another one day. Martha Brown Eyes is very sexy indeed!

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a teku glass. Opaque dark ruby brown colour, good moussy beige head, half-way lasting, fair lacing. Shy aroma, dark malts, mild roast, caramel, raisins, figs, some cocoa, alcohol. Taste light light heavy sweet, some bitterness, malty, liquorice, dark fruits, brown sugar, alcohol, light chocolate notes. full-bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, sweet aftertaste, light bitter notes, metallic notes, too sweet and boozy imho, not 'complete', nice.
