500ml bottle from Home Bargains. Pale copper in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Sweetish, caramel and red berry aroma with a nutty edge. Full mouth feel, with more nutty malts with a sweet edge, leading to a gentle finish. A good brown ale.

Bottle from Home Bargains, Byfleet. Aroma is earthy, veggie, sour edge. Opaque dark brown. Thick foamy translucent off-white head. Light-medium bitter. Grainy. Burb5 caramel. Sour berry streak. Underlying veg. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Alright at best. Underpowered.

500ml bottle from a local 'Home Bargains' store: BB 21st March 2025. Drank and home with Robert my cousin on 14th May 2024. Clean and clear golden body, white head. Cheap supermarket beer feel to this, slight citrus lead, weak malty base, light bitterness in the finish.

500ml bottle from a local 'Home Bargains' store: BB 21st March 2025. Drank and home with Robert my cousin on 14th May 2024. Clean amber body, white crown, looks fine, pity it was so weak and uninteresting, not a good blend of hops and malts. Third of a cask pint at the brewpub in Liverpool on 14th May 2025, still not great.

500ml bottle from Home Bargains, Westhill. It pours clear deep reddish - brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is woody, earthy, nutty, toffee, gingery spice, dried fruits and toasted fruit cake. The taste is dry, some bitterness, toasty malts, some spice, woody, nutty, earth, cereal, toffee, cacao, toasted grass and some leather accents with a dry, toasty finish. Lightish body and moderate carbonation. A surprising depth to it for the style & abv. Very drinkable stuff.

[50cl bottle from Home Bargains, Bracknell.] A reddish chestnut pour with a slight haze and a ring of translucent head; earthy malt aroma; rather thin, with a sugary malty body, but a decent hoppy bitterness and a touch of spice in the finish. Not bad.

500ml bottle from Home Bargains Westhill. It pours clear deep amber with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is tasty, woody, nutty, pencil shavings, bitter - sweet, touch of toffee and dried leaves. The taste is firmly dry, rather bitter, some grapefruit, charred wood, toasty, earthy, coffee grounds, rather nutty, walnut shells, tannin, forest floor, earthy, leathery and cacao nibs with a lingering bitter, charred & nutty finish. Light to average body and average carbonation. Ok elements to it, but it is rather bitter, cherry and almost burnt.
