A blonde ale with a thick creamy lacing white head. A bready malt aroma, with notes of geniver and alcohol. In mouth, a crisp malt with lots orange peels and astringence, very alcoholic, almost too much. Medium bodied, unbalanced.

Caged and corked 375ml ?Bottle Pours out gently but with a huge bright pink hea that nearly filled the flute. Deep ruby color with lots of rising sparklies. Big time tart musty aroma. Sour cherries and funky with some faint vanilla. Very dry sour flavor. Not so much of the funky Lambic yeast as the aroma suggested but balanced in that way nicely. These things attenuate so far it is hard to tell the original fruit flavor. Dusty dry and earthen. Late lingering chery flavor. Dry, tart and crisp. I love this stuff, but I think that more that 12oz or so would burn out my toungue. Good Stuff.

Bottle. Near orange coloured with a rocky white head. Aroma of yeast, grapefruit and honey. Plenty of acidity in the mouth with a flavour of bitter lemon and summer fruits. Very good, but not my favourite gueuze.

(Bottle, Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 3 July 2007) Hazy brownish amber colour with brief off-white head. Acidic, lactic nose with notes of horse blanket, old socks and blue cheese. Acidic taste with vinegar and cloudberries. Mature, musty, almost woody character. Harsh notes of bitter almonds. Dry, but not super dry. Superb, mature geuze with its own identity. According to the beer list it was a vintage 2000, but nothing on the label confirmed it. At least, the best before date was 2021 (and it will probably be quite nice after that as well).

37.5 cL bottle. Pours hazy red-brownish with a pink crispy head leaving a creamy lacing. Slight sweet and clearly sour cherries, minor sulphor note. Woody and earthy flavoured with a sourness going through from start to finish. Clear yeasty notes together with cherries. Decent but not great.

Cloudy red pour, with no head, low carbonation - inviting, semi-sweet black raspberry aroma, with touches of grape skins, and earthy/musty qualities around the edges - the flavor starts off as if the beer is going to be sweet, but a sourness quickly develops that combines with the rather natural raspberry flavors to give the beer the flavor of tart berries that have begun to rot - sour, decaying fruit - that’s what this beer tastes like - and still, I like it...somewhat.
