Draught Small pink rim over deep hazy burgundy beer. Sweet cherries, cherryjam, heated cherrysauce, brown candi sugar, wood. Sourish tinge on the flavours suggested by the nose. Heated and again cooled stewed cherries. Pretty slick, slight alcoholburn, bit chewy. Another nice one!

Draught. 2019 version blend of two year old barrel aged Dark sour ale, 7% ABV Head gone in seconds. Black beer with purple highlights. Roasted notes with fruity overtones. Hints at both fruit and stout aroma's, dark plums, and a hint of tobacco. Sour, roasted, fruit - a jumble, but one that warms the hart (and the stomach). Lemon, prunes, hints at burnt caramel and exotic dark fruit. Rich, but not viscous, thanks to the acidity. Warming all the same, even more than 7% would warrant. Great beer. Shame the Prune did sell out so soon.

30/XI/19 - sample @ Day 2 of Billies Craft Beer Festival 2019, BB: n/a - (2019-2119) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!
Aroma: nice, soft roast, lots of alcohol, bit fruity, lots of chocolate milk, some more roasted notes on warming up. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty acidic start, floral, fruity, dry, lots of blackberries? Aftertaste: very acidic, earthy, fruity, harsh acidity overplaying the roasted flavours. Nice complexity, not bad, but would’ve preferred a little less acidic.
