India pale lager, a collaboration between Totem in Evergem near Ghent on the one hand and a Birrificio Edit in Torino, Italy on the other hand. Draught at Dok Brewing Company in Ghent. Thick and frothy, snow white, moussy, tightly papery-lacing head, equally hazy straw blonde robe with ochre-ish tinge. Aroma of ripe dwarf bananas, granadilla, unripe pineapple, dried basil, sweetbread and plain white bread, minerals, apple peel, grapefruit touch. Clean onset, fruitiness from hops and malts but none from esters as expected from the style, strong stinging carbonation, numbing and a bit much so even for a lager; nice clean and lean bread crumb- and cereal-like pale malt sweetishness, lots of minerally effects lingering from the carbonation, grapefruity hop bitterness in the end, pleasantly and brightly zesty, long-stretched and spicy with some of the malt sweetishness lingering beyond. Very typical IPL, I'd almost say 'classical' in style if this weren't such a young style of beer. Well-executed, but could have done with some less enthusiastic carbonation for me personally.

Taste: pretty bitter, some grapefruit, bit malty, bit grassy, slightly metallic. Aftertaste: very bitter, bit resinous, chemical, rather unpleasant bitterness.

Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft @ Swafff 2018. Hazy golden, creamy white. Nose is hoppy thick crean lager, fluffy bread, cornbread, bitter weeds hop. Very thick creamy oily, hop doesn’t pop as much as expected but nice bitter weeds, bready, doughy, very thick. Bit too bitter weeds for personal preference but very nice overall.
