2.5 ounce pour into a tulip at the brewery - lightly hazy reddish orange - nose of bourbon, spicy oak, cherry, vanilla - flavor of whole earthy apples, followed by warming whiskey character, cherries, spicy oak and moderate tannins - must like whiskey to like this - I love whiskey, so I’m quite enjoying it.

Glass at Stem - clear gold - this is sweeter than they typically make here, but there is a biting acidity and cutting minerality that punch through to balance it out a bit - juicy and sweet in front, with a light phenolic character coming through - strong brown apple flavor - prickly acidity through the middle - the sweetness subsides by the end, leaving some tart apple and white grape - I prefer their dry ciders, but this is okay.

Glass at the brewery - clear light gold - highly effervescent - nose and flavor are dry, crisp, tart, moderately acidic, strongly tannic, finishing with a quenching acidity and apple skin funkiness - strong showing.

12 oz. can. Pours clear, pink, with no head. The nose is tart raspberries, vanilla, cloves, and red delicious. Sweet and fruity, with a bit of tannic bitterness and a little tart. Light to medium body, lightly acidic, creamy, and clean. This is a lovely and aromatic cider.

Tulip at Stem - very clean pour, looking like a white wine - very clean, bright, fruity, with just enough of the tang from the crab apples to give in an interesting, dry, almost tannic acidity - clean finish with a moderate prickly acidity - very nice.

Can - I like how the labeling on the can makes sure to note that this cider is dry - is says a lot about the cider market and what a lot of people expect - and this is quite dry, and even a bit tart - anyway, the nose does present some raspberry sweetness, very earthy and lush, along with medium tart Apple - light, crisp, and refreshing, starting with medium dry apple character, followed by tart while raspberry character, finishing very dry, with the faintest hint of fruit skin funkiness - mild white wine qualities throughout - a bit subdued, but great on a hot day like today.

Tulip at Stem - light clear gold - very dry, tart cider, with a prickly acidity and light minerality - the oak is very subtle, but brings a slight whiskey sweetness and a mild smokiness that works surprisingly well against the delicate, dry nature of the base cider - apricot manifests way on the back end, earthy and lightly tart - really nice.

Le Chêne 6.4% Big oak, vanilla and an almost whiskey like aroma. Quite full bodied, chalky yet sweet. The taste is again oaky bourbon with tart apples not what I was expecting but interesting. I think this would make a great glaze for barbecuing meats.

The palest gold of the 4 in my taster. Now this smells like a cider, crabapple and Apple and even some cinnamon type spice. The taste is ascerbic, tart crabapple/Apple with a bit of sweetness. I like this.

Remedy 6.7% Big dry hop bouquet of citra and cascade entices me to take a sip and... Big pine and citrus with an ascerbic Apple component but this is mostly about the hops. Ok.
