Bottle at Craig’s. Amber with a small white head. Big citrus and pine hop aromas, caramel malt. Orange and peach on the taste, more malt character., going a little oily on the texture. Good stuff though.

Bottle from Cornelius. Murky amber body with an off-white head. Lively carbonation. Great lacing. Aroma of peach, caramel, candy and yeast. Sweet favour of overripe peach, soft citrus and caramel. Full body with an oily texture. Nice fizz. Overall, it’s a tad sweeter than I’d like but the thick, smooth mouthfeel is Kernel-esque. A lovely IPA.

Bottle, Cave, Glasgow. Hazy yellowish gold pour with a fair sized white head. Notes of spice and yeast in the hooter. Thinnish flavour with similar character and vague citrus. Hops not really shining here. Dry bitter finish. Drinkable but ultimately forgettable.

Bottle, gift from Paula. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Nice lacing. Weak aroma of milk chocolate and dark fruits. Flavour of wood, light smoke and a hint of liquorice. Thin body with a watery mouthfeel. Soft carbonation prickle. At best it’s subtle and sessionable, at worst it’s diluted and weak.
