Full pour on draft at Cafeteria 15L, Sacramento International Airport. Served in a Belgian snifter. Hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, light tart notes. Tastes of light tart notes, lemon and orange citrus. Light body with a dry finish. Fairly light tartness for a berliner but solid.

Pint can from Kroger. This will be brewery rating #400. Pours deep brown with a soft beige to tan head. Aroma is gingerbread cookies, sugar. Smells quite sweet, almost too sweet, but for some reason it seems to be hitting the spot with my nose right now. Flavor is gingerbread cookies: cinnamon, ginger, sugar, perhaps molasses. However, there’s a strange undertaste (not chalky, thank god). Aroma is better than the flavor - it’s quite strong.

DIPA from a tallboy can shared by and with Ster at her place, thanks! From one of those craft breweries taken over by AB InBev, this one in Los Angeles. Moussy, egg-white, dense and very stable head, hazy straw blonde robe with warmer peachy hue. Aroma of lime peel, grapefruit, starfruit, mango, pine resin, paprika, raw celery, courgette, bread crust. Fruity onset, hints of kiwi, mango and some passion fruit, sweetish with sourish balance, bit minerally and ’green’, smooth mouthfeel with softish carbo fit for the style; soft, fluffy, supple mouthfeel, bit oily. Bready backbone, leading to a long, aromatic hop finish, very citrusy, a bit piney and spicy, with retronasal grapefruit juice and lime notes plus some late, warming but otherwise well-hidden alcohol. Typical but more than decent American DIPA, apparently AB InBev’s product development department hasn’t reached this one yet...

Pours quite clear golden. Foam rises highland comes down after a while. Aroma is super fresh and crisp. Resins and herbal hops, some tropical fruits. Taste is refreshing, crisp and hoppy. Nice refreshing beer but the finish gets a bit messy and falls apart for me. Rough bitterness and even booze. Drink this beer quickly before it warms up.

Hazy dirty golden brown color. Big frothy white head. Very clean dry nose. Tropical fruit and acetone with some biscuity character. The mouth is a bit lifeless and not as balanced. Some bitterness in the end but overall disappointing.

At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly head, cloudy very light orange to yellow, aroma of guava, grapefruit and a hint of onion, flavor of flowers, onio and some fruit in the back, medium mellow bitterness. Refreshing and really enjoyable.

16oz can thanks to rich. Pours out dark brown almost black topped with a sand head. Nose is big cinnamon ginger bread sweetness. Taste is more of the nice ginger bread man cookies nice sweet and spice.

Rich dark brown coloured body with a nice, three centimetre tall deep tan head. Aroma of pure ginger, mixed with a good dose of roasted malt, canella, sugars, toffee and bunches of lactose - very nice and strong, especially with the ginger. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong malty and earthy flavourings show up at first then give way to a ton of ginger, sugar, lactose and earthy notes - very nice and incredibly flavourful in a good way. Aftertaste shows some alcohol, but a fairly muted and covered bite that shows much more ginger, spice, malt and especially lactose. Overall, a very nice and incredibly well-crafted beer with the milk and ginger flavours the most pungent, but the malt, spice and alcohol shows well, too. Great to sample and well worth trying if you like ginger at all or any other spices in a holiday beer. I sampled this sixteen ounce can purchased yesterday at Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 10-December-2016 for US$3,29 sampled at home in Dearborn, Michigan on 11-December-2016.
