Dag 2 på M&H, og og etter Kvestad Jubielum var det rett bort til inngangen og kjøpe flere bonger. Helt klar klar blek stråfarge med litt skum og lett perlende munnfølelse. Slank, velsmakende om enn noe enkel. Halvtørr. Etter Hardangerturen for tre år siden har jeg helt sluttet å kjøpe cava og prosecco, norks cider ruler big time! Men akkurat denne havner ikke på innkjøpslista. Fra flaske.

Dag 2 på M&H, og min første cider: roséfarget med lett perlende munnfølelse. Farlig slank, så her går det unna. Moreller og rips var slett ingen dum idé. Fra flaske.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A clear golden colored cider with a minimal sized white head. Nice apple aroma with apple core notes and a touch of grass. Some bark. It's full bodied and faintly warming with a pleasant carbonation. Quite dry, lightly astringent. Apple, apple cores and some grass and bark in the flavor. Lasting finish. Really pleasant this one. 220122

On tap at Mellombels Ølstue. It’s a clear pale yellowish golden colored cider, still and flat. The aroma is mostly apple juice, with some pear and a touch of yeast. It’s medium bodied, dry and with a low carbonation level. Apple juice flavor too, with pear notes, some yeast and a touch of grass. Quite short finish. An easy drinkable, a bit dull and thin, but clean cider. Well hidden alcohol. 210813

Mellombels 130821. Pale golden color with no head. Aroma is apples, sourness. Flavor is apples, sournes, hay. Nice cider.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It pours sparkling clear golden body with a pink hue. White bubbles around the rim. The aroma has a faint touch of cherry, no pits though, with fresh apples dominating. Some grass, apple cores and alcohol too. It's softly carbonated on the palate, lightly warming, full-bodied and with a suiting fruity sourness. The redcurrant show up in the flavor, as a hint only, with the cherries pushed even further to the back. Some marzipan cherry pit hints too. Mostly though, it's fresh apples and apple cores. Grass, hints of hay and a bit too much alcohol chime in. Dry, sour finish with alcohol warmth and apple flavors, along with a touch of red berries. A nice one indeed, the berries add a pleasant twist to the cider, but the alcohol level combined with the carbonation makes it feel a bit rough on the edges. Should work just fine as an aperitif I guess. 211006

Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish fruity, sour apples, sorrel, apple cores, hay, minerals, alcohol, apple peel, hints of sour red berries. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Nice.
