Dark amber body with relatively short lived white head. Apple, raspberry, malt and some metal in the aroma. Initially very sweet flavour, with metallic and somewhat sour hops finish. Thin, but pleasantly soft mouthfeel. Not extraordinary, but worth the cheap price I found it at.

Malty aroma... tastes like malt and alcohol, suprisingly similar to the Ch’ti "Triple". Maybe a bit more bearable. The type is wrong. It says on my bottle that it’s "Biere du Desert Strong Ale". I’m pretty sure that it’s the same beer (the name, and 7.2% alc). So it should be Blond Ale or something. All in all, yet another french mistake.

Bottled(250ml). -very good brew, pale golden coloured, little white head, tasty and drinkable for 12%ABV, nice hop touches mixed with strong alcohol scent, surprisingly good strong alcohol finish

I was expecting this to be yet another foul french brew, and the the reviews didn’t make me more optimistic about it... Looks like a regular lager, even nice for a lager, pretty golden colour, white quickly diminishing head, nice lacing. Smells fruity, couldn’t place it at first, but plum might be it. Tastes suprisingly smooth for such a beer, the alcohol is evident but not overbearing, a bit sweet, but not too much. Not really good, but not really bad.

Bottle. Hoppy malt aroma. Dark yellow color with small head. Moderate hops and malt with slightly sweet finish. One of the better French beers I’ve tasted.

Oranges, sugar candy and all spice dancing around in the nose. The body was yeasty and off dry organish all leading to a rounded earthy finish. Not bad.

(750 ml corked bottle, champagne style. Bought in Denmark.). A Christmas beer in August, why not? Amber colour, large fizzy head that doesn’t last very long. Pleasant and complex aroma of oak, caramel, dried fruits and spices. I find the flavour less complex, maybe because of the beer’s fizzyness. Still it is reasonably malty and easily drinkable, fairly sweet. Aftertaste is OK but not impressive.

750 ml champagne style corked bottle, bought in Denmark. Pleasant fruity and yeasty aroma. Clear golden colour, good head. A light bodied (despite 6.5% ABV) blonde ale, aimed to please - and it does. Flavour is fruity sweet but not cloying, just a faint hint of spices. Easy drinking, some other raters seem to have expected a strong and dark Belgian to hit them in the head - forget that, this is a delicate French blonde to be savoured for what it is. I like it!
