Description

Slightly hazy straw colour. Great aroma - I didn’t know maibock could smell like this - fruity, fresh, loads of bread, herbal notes and light spice. Fantastically appetizing. Fresh, bready palate. Very approachable, with subtlety and style. Some spicy alcohol late. Good example.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of straw and hints of butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruit - especially peaches, but also a light note of alcohol. Nice body.

Bottle (purchased at the Spital): Golden coloured, medium-sized, white creamy with a good lace, solid, satisfying sweet-malty and sweet floral-citrousy hoppy nose; light to medium bodied, distinctive bitter-sweet flavour; lingering aromatic-hoppy plus sweet-malty finish with a harmonic bitter aftertaste. Great, excellent Pils, made by an unspectacular brewery........

Bottle (thanx to joss!): Pale golden, hazy, firm, creamy persistent head, strong citrus-fruity nose (lemons, oranges) with a very light touch of wheat and cloves; distinctive sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; mainly fruity finish (peaches and apples with a light acidity and nearly without any yeasty tartness. Sweet like a fruit cake, very approachable, but nevertheless a very moreish Weizen...........

Bitter and slightly acidic flavour, light bodied with a moderately sparkling mouthfeel. Roast-malty and fruity taste with a light wheat-character and soft notes of caramel; slightly bitter and fruity finish with a present roasty and herbal hoppy touch.

(bottle) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a big and dense foamy white head. Yeasty, moderately sweet and sour fruity nose with an aromatic citrus (mandarins, oranges) touch. Sourish sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonated mouthfeel. Slightly yeasty, moderately wheaty and strong fruity taste, quite aromatic but also a bit one-dimensional; finishes fruity with a touch of peppery spice. Nice.
